Unless there was a recent change to the approved colors, his order will likely get rejected by BMWNA. It takes a few weeks for them to approve the color once the order has been requested so we should hear soon.

Edit: It appears that Gentian Blue, and some other colors, have now been added to the list of approved paints at least for some markets.

Wow gentian blue will be striking on the G05. Going to get a lot of attention. I like ZAEI, but have you thought about an interior choice like Tartufo? Either way your G05 will be a very unique build. Enjoy and congrats.

The code is W37 (seems to have different names in different regions), but assume the color code is the same. I've seen it both as Enzian blue and Gentian blue. Here's an M4 in the same color:

I was torn between the 2 - in the end wanted something with a bit more bling (ie- unsafe choice, and yeah, on top of the unique blue), so hopefully it'll all work together, and I won't regret it!

Lol honestly the rendering of it looks funnier than it should. Actual photos of the color are quite stunning and I think it will be awesome. Hoping they approve it for you. When I ordered LRG I didn't even consider trying to get away with a color off the list. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm trying to decide what Individual color I should go with for a custom X6 order, I really really wanted fire orange and I'm so sad they won't do it. So it's hard to decide. Signal Green is #1 right now. I twould match my Mint Green M4 well I think

The wait is arduous on the individual paint spec.. Production number Jan 10, build was originally week 14, now moved to week 16.. hope it doesn't keep getting pushed out..😐

I canceled my first order in November because I wanted to wait for MY2023 and was hoping the chip/shipping/supply chain shortages would be gone. Just put in a deposit and was told that BMW is not accepting individual colors at this time. The dealer told me there was someone who ordered in November waiting for their production number still. I'm thinking I will just go with white and maybe do a wrap, 3M Deep space specifically.

Check with another dealer, I think it was yesterday that someone posted they ordered an Individual color.

I think they group individual paints when possible. It can delay things, they say up to 10 weeks but that obviously is not set in stone.

I took your advice and pushed back a little stating I didn't care about the wait, but it sounds like the "regional and general manager do not want the allocation to sit in limbo and they cannot fulfill the order". I think I'll put in for a standard color and commit to wrapping. All other dealerships are asking for $5-25k markup for custom builds in my area.
