Parking assist reverse camera behaviour since latest software

Has anyone noticed the behaviour of their park assist system in reverse parking mode has changed since the latest update of software?
I used to be able to have it stay in reverse camera mode only, no matter how close objects were getting.
Now, it goes to one of the 3D views just as it thinks you are too close to the object. Very annoying and confusing as it jump across views.

And I can't get it to stay in non 3D mode… I could before

This is the default behavior for me. I think this is the way it works from the beginning since my 2020 X6 is still on 11-19 softwares. Not sure if there is an option to turn it off though.

not new behavior. Mine has done this since iStep 11/2020 with no change on 03/2021 or 07/2021. it zooms in when you reach a closeness threshold.

That's disappointing to hear, thanks all. I'm sure that you are all spot on.
I now have to remember how I got it to stay, without the 3D views popping up…
Maybe I was doing some coding at the time…😕

I don't understand why this is an issue. When the camera view is not what you want you only need to touch the other cameras and the view will change to what you select. Even if the rear cam isn't showing in the view you can touch the rear of the car image and the rear camera appears.

That's my issue, it doesn't do as you describe. Stays on 3D once you're close to an objest

My 2020 X6 has done this since new, when it arrived on 2019 software. Now on the latest s/w with no change to this behaviour.

Hmm, I'm on the 07/2021 internet and US region M50i. Maybe this is a regional issue
