Ah worth mentioning that the electrician said he prefers hardwired otherwise he would also have to install and charge for GFCI breaker. The chargepoint has GFCI built in as do many EVSE but CA code still requires it. ChargePoint and others recommend NOT having GFCI doubled like that from what I could gather.

So ramblingpolak & vipalshah14 check for updates & hopefully you'll get a prod date in a day or so.
Mine is still showing Scheduled for Production. Any update on your end ramblingpolak ?

After some deliberation I ended up ordering the ChargePoint Flex and planning to do a hardwired install on 50A breaker.

It's def not the cheapest as they didn't offer any discount this holiday season but it seemed to be a quality unit that will have some curb appeal if we decide to sell our house and "future proof" for whatever we buy in a few years (likely full EV).

I'm looking at:

$700 for the charge point
$520 permit fees
$675 install plus $23/ft of extra conduit. My worse case might be $950 or so.

Doing it now to take advantage of IRA 8911 tax credit (30% discount basically).
I am considering JuiceBox 32 Hardwire WiFi-enabled 32-Amp EVSE. I have 40 amp breaker so I can use 32 amp charger without upgrading the breaker.

I had a Charpoint Flex (plug-in) installed in my garage as there was already a 6-50 plug in my garage. Turned out it wasn't active so the electrician doubled up a few breakers and made room to install the new 60amp breaker (future proof) we dedicated to the unit. (yes, I know plug-in doesn't go that high) She lights up and appears to work, now just need a 45e to use it with, hopefully before the end of the year.

The app seems pretty basic, actually more basic than I thought it would be. But it integrates with Siri and has scheduling so I'm happy.

correct. OTW you may suffer from nuisance tripping and interrupt your charging session

Ugh, that is a little frustrating. Give it a day and maybe give Genius a ring to see what's going on?

When I was ordering my X5, the CA seemed to have a pipeline view of production, so they might be able to give some insight into that as well, unless they are pulling their data from the same source we are looking at.

That happened to me FOUR times. My cycle was to get "Scheduled for Production" for a few days and then go back. Every four weeks or so, the process would repeat. Granted, I ordered an Individual color and B&W radio (when it was still available to order) so those were certainly contributing factors. The good news is that mine has finally made it to the "Production Begins" stage and has a VIN. My production date is 12/20.

Hang in there - hopefully, it will all work out for you soon.

Called the genius line and they told me it's not uncommon to bounce back and forth between these statuses.

Rep told me that it's currently likely going to be rescheduled from W51 to W4 or later and to call them again in a week.

That mean a build date has been assigned to the car. You can decode the date using the instructions from this post:

Cheers.
December 20th. I assume the following 6 assembly-sounding milestones (paint booth, assembly line, quality) take a few weeks?

No they should all be done by 12/20. At most quality can take couple of days is what I have seen, so by 12/22 your car should move to awaiting career assignment. Then it depends where your dealer is located and it could be as quick as 2 days or 2 weeks till it gets to the dealership

Thank you. A check this morning now lists production as prodDate: "2021-12-18" but I'll believe it when I start seeing movement.

Frustrating to see mine delayed again. My order was placed 10/29, order received 11/24. Originally scheduled for production in December, now "un-scheduled" and no idea when it will be.

I don't see a blue circle staging unscheduled
