After a 3.5 year hiatus from Bimmers, just put an order in (but still waiting for dealer allocation). Have been noticing that discounts are tough + add-ons to inflate price. Grateful for the $3,000 discount off MSRP.

X5 M50i

Color: Gentian Blue (W37)
Interior: Ivory white/night blue
Trim: carbon fiber
Wheels: 742M

All option boxes ticked, except "Driving Assistance Professional Package".

I'm reading about the hitches being available again! Need to get that added.

That beast will stand out on the road for sure. Please post pics when you get it as I'm really curious what that color will look like.

Is Bowers back on the options list? It looks like it's on your build photos.

No B&W or trailer hitch when I ordered.. missing those for sure.. and the heated and cooled cup holders (realize that's mostly bragging rights).

Awesome unique build, although with all those Individual options it might end up being a MY2025 by the time it shows up.

Welcome back and congratulations, hopefully the wait won't be too bad. Would highly recommend you add DAP, not only for the driving assistance features but also for the extra safety features.

Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

Got glass controls in Executive Pkg. Used the individual configurator mostly to get approximate color.

Welcome back and congratulations on a rare Individual Manufaktur X5 paint color option.

Just a note on the configurator render - for Extended Merino Ivory White / Night Blue interiors (ZAEI), 99% certain that the lower dashboard will be black and not ivory as rendered - confirmed by MY20-21 G05 and G06 owners with ZAEI.

Thanks for the heads up! Black is probably better - many are warning me about the light interior choice anyway (I'm a bit anal as it is), so less light surfaces to keep up with.

Looks awesome! Reminds me if Laguna Seca Blue, which is one of the best colors ever made!

The color as such maybe isn't the main problem. The Merino leather as such has just way less surface treatment than even the better regular automative leathers, including Vernasca. Merino is really nice leather and natural enough to produce some patina over years, but there's a price you pay beyond the option surcharge.

Word of caution after 10 years of Merino:
If you wear jeans or similar material, closely watch your seats for signs of stuff rubbing into the leather surface. Some it won't ever come off again after some time, except with chemical treatment and recoloring. Getting a good protective fluid for this type of leather early is a smart move.

This ^.

Was the primary reason we opted to pass on the Merino leader on our build, I just didn't want to worry that much about a daily driver.

I don't either, but my consequence was to just not look too hard at parts of the drivers seat when getting in.

It's just that people who want a pristine interior need to be warned, and starting with surface protection on the new car goes a long way. Once the surface discolouring has been done for real it's game over with "just cleaning".

That said, the car in this thread is the blue/ivory version, not pure ivory, and there most of the parts that are in real danger are in blue rather than ivory, so I would only worry about a small part of the front seats. So probably quite manageable.

Also just saw this.. question - if any others who know see this post. I ordered red calipers, but don't see it listed and they are showing blue on the image- should I call to address it?

Congrats on your new vehicle. Here're some suggestions:

1. The color on the BMW's web is not that accurate. Try to google picture search and UToB your configs via real pictures and videos. If any chance, go to the dealer to take a look at the color. For example, the tartufo options are more like a light brown (Or I can't describe precisely), however, it will look very orange in real-world, especially under the sun.

2. The picture on BMW's garage might not accurate, and it is common that the picture will update later. Ask your SA to get a detailed list for all your configuration codes. for now, I don't get the red calipers code, I will update later.

Try these: https://www.colourlock.com

They have the products and lots of information. You will also get stuff for color repair in the BMW colors should that become necessary one day.

You can also call them. At least their people in Germany are very helpful and know their stuff.

For your new car you might want this: https://www.colourlock.com/all-diy-p...ld-150-ml.html

No experience though, it wasn't available 10 years ago when my M5 was new. But I will get it when the X arrives.

The tracker stuff is different for the US. But when I log into the German website with my VIN registered, my car is displayed in white (individual colors always white) and with red calipers instead of the default blue ones for M sport brakes. So here it does render the red ones of you ordered them. So maybe recheck with your dealer.

Hi OP, how did you get this Gentian Blue color approved? It's not on the list making the rounds of approved Individual Colors for X5/6/7
Thanks in advance!

In Germany, it's on the list as "Enzianblau". The international visualiser has it as "Gentian blue".
