Slightly Narrower 20" Winter Tire?
I ordered a square set of 265/45-20 Bridgestone Blizzak's for a set of wheels that are 20x9 (same diameter and width as the 740Ms). However, the OEM tire width is 275. I went with 265 since I wanted a narrower tire and I thought that 275 was too wide for a winter tire on a 9" wide wheel.
I shouldn't run into any load issues, correct? |

I also have 275/45R20 on my 45e and for the winter tires I am thinking about going 265/50R20 on the factory wheels to have a slightly narrower contact patch and more sidewall for impact cushioning. Has anyone tried the 265/50R20 for winter tires? Any issues fitting them on the factory wheels and wheel well clearance?

That combination will be about 2.4% smaller in diameter, so that will affect both the speedometer and the odometer...racking up higher indicated speeds and higher miles traveled. Otherwise, it should fit. You'd have to check the specific tire to verify its load rating.
