Hello Everyone
New to the family and ordered my first BMW X6 Xdrive 40i. This has been my dream vehicle since almost a few years and I am hoping to finally get my hands on her. 🙏

Firstly a big thank you to all of you as this forum has been super helpful in all areas and aspects of a BMW.

Heres my timeline so far
06/26th Order placed with dealer.
07/31 Got production Number.
08/18 Scheduled for Production.
Week 37. (Thanks to the forum to point me to BMW genius for this info)
08/29 got VIN.
09/ 11 Entering Assembly Line.
09/ 12 Awaiting Carrier Assignment.

Super Excited.
I live in NY and was wondering if anyone had any ideas how long does it take to get to dealership from the SC plant.

Our cars are probably literally sitting next to each other in the X6 Lot. I'm Mr. newbie around here, but from reading a ton of posts. it seems on AVERAGE, people spend from a few hours to 2-3 days on the waiting on carrier. (there is threads of people getting hung up on that stage also). then once you leave that stage, that should be a 1-2 day truck up to NY, depending on other stops etc... I have also saw enough threads, that once you are past this stage, your dealer should be able to tell you when the truck is due in.

I just noticed that even though the status says
"Awaiting Carrier Assignment" the description below says a carrier has been assigned to take care of your BMW.

Guess our rides may just be riding together pretty soon.Hoping its dispatched from factory soon.

Congrats also. It seems we made it through Quality Check, which from a lot of threads, can be a speed bump for sure. Also we are east coast, truck vs train (don't know how those western people wait for weeks after leaving factory). it's close, but from all the info on here, lots of variables with trucks, drivers and amount of cars going to X to determine when we get it

My X5 was 'in transit' on 8/30 and arrived at the dealership on 9/2, my dealer is in the middle of LI

Mine was placed on a truck on 9/8 and arrived to the Westchester dealer on 9/11.

Whatsyour dealer called because I also had a dealer in the middle of LI.

Usually it will take 2-3 days to get to New York.
