Hello,

I'm selling my JB4 that I used on my 2019 X5 50i. Felt a big difference when installed. Reason for selling is that I sold my X5 for an M5 Competition

Thanks!

I may be interested, how difficult is installation? Is it detectable if I brought my truck in for service at the dealer?

I think its installation is a pain in the ass, but its easier after you do it once. Is this compatible with the M50i engine tho?

Installation is pretty easy. I can install it in under 30 minutes. I had to take my X5 to the dealer several times for a leaky sunroof. So I had to uninstall and reinstall it many times. They never detected anything.

According the the JB4 website it looks like it is the same tuner for the 50i and M50i.

Did you have any CEL or issues while running it?

I never had any CEL or issues while running it. I would always run MAP 2. I ran MAP 6 a few times with 5 gallons of E85 added to 93 fuel. Zero problems. Getting E85 was a pain for me so that is why I mostly ran MAP 2. However, the guys at JB4 are awesome to email questions to. I have JB4 on M5 Comp. On a new install I usually will run it first on Map 0 make sure there are no issues, then go to Map 1 run it make sure there are no issues, and then go to Map 2.
