First time tinting my windshield
Hello fellow posters and G05 enthusiasts,
So after debating whether or not I should tint my windshield, I finally did it. As the title states, this is the first I've done this on any of my vehicles. I also had them match my front two sides with the rears and I'm very pleased with the outcome. Tint was Global Films, sides ceramic 18% (which is really 20%) and windshield ceramic 33% (really 50%). Before: After:

Thanks! Yeah I don't have to worry about any inspections anytime soon. I am registering the car in FL (living in IL though) and FL doesn't have any inspections for newer vehicles (that I know of).

I have no issues. It's like driving with lightly tinted sunglasses at night. Not not dark at all. I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you!

I put 80% Formula One "Air 80" on my last three cars. Was perfect on cutting down on heat, and didn't sacrifice any nighttime visibility.

Looks wonderful! Wish I could do that, but that dark would never fly in CA. I could probably get away with the front sides, but the windshield would have me pulled over constantly.

That's really dark. I wouldn't make it down the road without getting pulled over, especially on white car, it's very prominent. It looks nice and probably cuts down on your interior heat significantly, but I think that's little too dark.

New Hampshire won't even allow the front door windows to be tinted unless you have a note from your doctor for some medical requirement, let alone the windshield.
Personally, I don't feel that level on the windshield is a very good idea at night where every bit of visibility possible is useful to see that person, dog, deer, car parked on the side of the road. Not all vehicles turn their lights on when they should, and at dusk, depending on the lighting conditions, a vehicle could easily disappear, and pedestrians along with wildlife don't always dress so they're very visible. |

Really odd that you're experiencing that. The wildlife in my area always dress in hi-vis vests

I didn't touch the rear windows. Only did the front two and windshield with ceramic.
