Anyone tuned their 45e?

I’ve seen some of the tuners and the info, but I would like to know if anyone actually has tuned their personal 45e. I’m thinking of doing it but I would be my first ever tune so I just need some information. Thank you!

Very little user experience available on the internet.
Or nobody is writing about it, or nobody is tuning...

Convincing video on youtube:

What I saw in another thread was that there are a couple of Stage 1 tunes that keep it within spec, one giving about 56 hp and the other taking you all the way up to 530hp. The general consensus seems to be caution/hesitation at this stage since it's a brand new powertrain and combined with the hybrid functionality, it could hinder or even boost the charging performance/fuel economy.

I'll be waiting another couple of years at least to see what the longer-term/broader results are once more than a couple of people have done it, but if it's safe/stable/etc., I'm all in on that. (Tuned my F-150 ecobeast and it was night and day difference)

I wish I knew what he was saying throughout the video.

I'm surprised no one in the States has jumped on this yet.

BM3? Mission Tuning? Anyone?

i know of two folks in the U.S. who did the Mission Tuning range mod, and two folks in the EU who installed the Bluespark module. I'll be doing the Bluespark after I get my car back from recall.

The only tune available from Mission is the battery range extender (to my knowledge).

I used to have a G01 X3 M40i. Wondering if I can use the same tune?

correct, Mission Tuning only addresses the HV battery range extension as I stated above.

can take a look at Bluespark:

Thank you. I've never heard of Blue Spark. I'll be waiting for Mission or BM3.

I did mine. DME tune, down pipe and custom dual valve exhaust. Exhaust is following DME logic.
Result dynoed is 556hp /780nm
Just keep in mind depending on your local bimmer dealer you will likely lose warranty. But it's made my car into a beast and I have had zero issues. My tune is completely within engine tolerance. It's a stage 1, stage 2 requires a different air filter plus gasoline pump. That will add around 55-60hp more.

How do you find out the date of your DME? Is there a vin check website for this?

I don't know my tuner did it for me. I'm sure any local tuner can check this for you

Following . . .
It would be awesome if Mission puts out a combo range extender + increased HP Mapping into single coding!! If ANY Mission insiders see this, please take note and comment. The market is waiting . . .

. . . these are counterproductive to each other, but opening the battery to EU standards with a basic ECU optimizer flash is what we all want! You know, the whole cake and eat it too motto....

BMW 545e Stage 1 DME Unlock

Hi all, i hav recently tuned my BMW 545e, I had sent my DME to Finland and they tuned unlocked it for me, Mosselman in the Netherlands have then tuned it for me and it produces now with a sports cat, custom exhaust and with a opf delete 544hp and 880nm. I did a drag run and it did 3.6 sec from 0-100 with not the best circumstances. I will do in a week of 2 another run and I will then post it again on dragy. 100-200 it did 8.6 sec. If someone wants to know something message me at my Instagram account @Maikel1122 or at my YouTube channel @Maikel6845 there are also some pictures of my car and the sound what it now produces.

Not looking to pull the ECU to send it for unlocking. If it is safe with the JB+ or JB4, I am satisfied

I’ll go for stage 3 soon and squeeze random B58 number out of the car. The engine alone should bring 650+ hp with our German 102 pump gas. I’ll keep you updated
