M-sport G05 X5 winter set up

**EDIT. It turns out 19" doesn't fit around M-sport calipers, look for at least 20" for winters.

Hi I'm wondering if there are 19" wheels that have an offset that would fit around the M-sport calipers.

Or is the minimum wheel size 20" for the sport caliper.

When comparing which size of wheels will fit, should we be directly comparing with wheel sizes of x5m and x6m because they have the sport caliper.

2018 X5 with M-sport package doesn't offer sport calipers.

Thanks.

I was told here, in Germany, that 19" winter wheels will work. (But I think they are ugly so I may opt for 20" winter tires/wheels)

No - stock size for Europe is different:

Front 275/45/20
Rear 305/40/20

That is why I asked this qestion, because i was told the same like you, that winter setup should be both front/rear 275/45/20 so i have to buy 2 aditional rims for rear (stock ones 20’’ on rear are too wide).

Can I assume that the 19" winter setup from my previous F85 M will fit over the M Sport calipers?

I'm struggling with this as well.

I was going to get the winter package from BMW, but it's $6,800 in Canada!

Now i'm looking for 20" rims, and will go with Nokian Hakka R3s...just need some good looking 20s.

There are tons of cheaper options for winter.

There are tons of styles that fit this car and most of those are brand names like HRE. Is the style of winter wheels really important to you that you're going to spend a lot on them.

So, I separated them by price, to see the lowest price ones first, and it REALLY makes a bug difference. You can get 4 Wheels from under or around $1000... (Plus tires of course)

You can always ask your dealership for winter setups for your car and they'll tell you the specs.

I was quoted 6200 euro for the 22 inch option with winter tires. Just to see what's coming. Don't expect the 21 inch to be far away from that
