How long should I expect to wait for a X5 if I selected performance delivery center? ie: Are the dates like a month or two out? Or are they like a few weeks out?

-custom ordered a X5 with a week three build

Welcome to the forum. I think the last we saw they were about a month out but that of course varies. If you have a week three build then you should have gotten your PCD date confirmed by now. Are you sure you CA sent in the request. That is usually done when you go to the Production Begins status which would have been two weeks ago. If he hasn't then it likely would be too late since it is being assembled this week.

Thank you! Ahh you're right. Apparently there was a miscommunication and they did not know I wanted the PCD option. The CA sent a request to PCD this morning to see if they can get me on a schedule. Wish I would have reached out earlier, I thought the entire time they would reach out to me once the car was completed. Ugh. Hopefully they find a way to get me on the schedule.

Had another question: do you happen to know if I can get PPF after the build is completed and before I go pick it up (by either BMW add on or if a third party can come do it)? Try to avoid driving back without the paint protection but won't be able to stay overnight in SC.

BMW doesn't do that but there are shops in the area that do. I doubt they would be able to do it that afternoon though as it takes awhile to do paint correction and putting it on as well as curing.

Go over to the G8x thread as there as lots postive reviews of Extreme Colors Auto Spa who is apparently is the official BMW Performance Center paint protector since 2013. This is a helpfully thread for PCD.

calbears just did a dual PCD M3CS pick-up and from his post it took around 2 days.

Unfortunately, the amount of information for PCD from the M3/M4 forum will dry up now that we can’t do PCD for a non-SC build BMW.

Thanks! I had reached out to them but it'll likely to take them 2 days with the ppf and tint. Planning on just finding someone near atl where I live.

Factory is closed for tours due to construction for EV manufacturing expansion. Zentrum tour instead until construction is completed.
