Hi All,

My 50e was originally scheduled for production week 10. Yesterday, the production begun, 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Looks like BMW started pushing out the hybrids a bit quicker. I should have the car in 3-4 weeks if nothing goes wrong. That’s all I wanted to share in case anyone here also has a 50e on order.

Keep in mind that going to the Production Begins stage does not mean that assembly has begun, actual assembly takes less than a day. It means that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. You can now use the "F12" process to get your assembly date. You usually go into this status about two weeks before your production week.

As an aside, you may be one of the only 50e's in the US that will be produced this model year. I think all the rest we have seen have been pushed to MY25.

That’s amazing, I just tried that. However, not much information is showing considering it’s just switched status yesterday. I will keep trying, thank you!
Also, this is likely true, I put my order in December 18. I’m getting close to 10% of MSRP and I need a second car ASAP so waiting another month or two is not an option. Considering this is the LCI, Major changes will be small besides the lane change by eye (confirmed). I’m OK with the 24 model.

Everything that will show is populated at that point. In addition to your production date you will see all of the option codes as well as some general info about the vehicle and interior. If you continue to have problem then post or PM me your VIN and I can get you your information.

Congrats. I placed my order on Dec 15th with my dealer and was promised Week 2 build and then Week 10 build and now sometime in the future. Wonder how the algo prioritizes orders or based on when dealer had an allocation.

There is a production week associated with each allocation so that is the biggest determinate.

There is some changes on my order for my 2024 X5 50E.
On the top left corner under my vehicle in my garage there is a message:
IN Production

Under track status: Order received.

F12 status is 105.

Is it in production or not? Any suggestions?

I'm also 105 and that pic showed up on my garage today. I had understood 105 means our allocations have been taken back. Last time I called genius when I had 105, they couldn't give me a production week. So I've just assumed we are pushed to MY25. I'm going to call genius tmrw to see.

That has nothing to do with the vehicle status. It is just a website change for presentation of vehicles to separate those on order from those that a person owns.

Production weeks will not be given out for the 105's until after allocations are available.
