45e build time

Can anyone give me some real world insight on how long it's taking for a 45e build? Dealer is telling me 12 weeks, but I see some of the 40i and 50i's are being delivered quicker. Should I expect the full 12 weeks?

It all depends on the allocation. Sounds like your dealer doesn't have any and needs to wait until new ones are issued before they can order.

Just as an update - I found a dealer with an open allocation, order submitted 9/1, arrived at dealer (Illinois) 10/11.

Total of 7 weeks from time I placed the order with dealer. My X5 was just delivered to dealer today.

Which dealership did you use?
Long Beach told me they had an allocation but 3 weeks later, no production number.

Most likely the dealer already had the order submitted for a dealer stock car and they simply changed the options right before the car was scheduled for production.
