They have horrible descriptions for a lot of things. The configurator is a joke.

Who outside of BMW knows what "Active Guard" is? Who knows that it is standard equipment? Nobody!

I didn't have time to read the order guide, but can anyone tell me if Integral Active steering is standard on the M-sport models. I know that DHP is only available on the 50i, but on the 40i IAS can be optioned only on X-Line trims, along with some new 2-axle air suspension, but are nowhere to be seen on the M-sport, unless you pick the 50i in which its available with the DHP. It could just be missing options/features but if anyone knows please reply.

2VH IAS requires 2VR 2-axle air suspension. In order to get 2VR with ZMP requires ordering 4UB 3rd row + air suspension ($1350 in combo with ZMP) which isn't available until SOP 12/18.

The configurator will get better...I hope. Always clunky when they launch them. Seems to be alot of things missing. I will be waiting a year for M50i anyway. I am surprised that the pricing is so close to my current F15 50i when spec'd as similar as possible. Less than $1000 difference.

I think its because BMW has finally made extras like LED headlights, and safety systems like BSM and Auto-Emergency Braking, etc. finally standard on their vehicles rather than up-charging for things that are standard on like a $16k corolla.

I think you're right. The M Brakes along with the Laser Lights that have that cool blue feature look amazing on that Grey! I think it's a definite WINNER COMBO!!

Hopefully someone can clarify what exactly the MSport brakes are on the G05. Are the calipers different? Rotor size? Are they using the same or similar insanely dusty (dark grey dust too) pads like what is on the MSport brakes on the 340i's? Are they going to squeal as much too?
As much as I love the brake feel of the MSport brakes from the Track package on my '17 340i, the brake dust is ridiculous on those, plus the frequent squeaking. The dust is even worse than my '08 335i sport package, which could at least go about a week before the rims were covered in dust. My 340i is like 3 days or so of driving before the rims are dark grey. |

Does anyone know if either extended merino or the leather dash option adds leather to the lower portion of the dash? Tough to tell from the configurator.

Great to see this finally live...I am still PO'd that they don't have a dark blue option or more wheel/tire options. I'll have to go with Carbon Black anyway given it is the closest to blue and I want M-Sport anyway. Phytonic is a little too light/flashy for me but would love to see one live.

The configurator says that the MSport brake package comes with bigger rotors and enhanced pads...which suggests to me that they will be similar to what you have. That kind of bums me out. I love the looks of those brakes but I hate brake dust! Why can't BMW use other pads like Audi or Mercedes which imho are much less dusty. I am thinking of springing for the Msport brakes and eventually replacing the pads once some after market pads come out. Anyone have any experience with that? I am really torn. |

A “Full Leather” option would need to become available to cover the lower part of the dash I think. Who knows if/when that might show up. |

Luxury Seating Package forces you to add the Multi-Contour Seats for another $750...but you don't have to select Merino leather. You can still get it with Vernasca.
