Just ordered a 2022 x5m50i

Specs:
Alpine white
Black interior
Carbon trim
Exec pkg
Drive assist pro pkg
Heated steering wheel and armrests (more on this below)
Hitch
Alcantara headliner
Extended shadowline
22" black 742's

On the heated wheel and armrests- this option was $250. The climate package gives you this plus heated outboard rear seats for $700. Heated front seats are standard. I thought it was silly that heating the two rear seats was a net cost of $450. I'm prob being cheap. Am I missing anything I would have got in the climate package besides those rear seat heaters?

I'm excited. Dealer has allocation and should go to BMW today.

Edit: my dealer said the B&W sound was avail in the system. Not sure if I should have tried to order it. I thought those were unavailable anyway.

I also recently ordered one. I didn’t get any of the heating options because the steering wheel button just looked too out of place for me. Having heated back seats would have been nice, my Subaru has them standard, but my kids will survive.

I really wanted the black 22’s but I think they will just be a pain in the long run (worrying about damaging them, tire replacement intervals, ride quality etc. ) so I’m planning on getting the 20’s made black somehow after delivery.

I ordered a 45e so not sure if it's the same, but the Climate Package also provides 4-zone climate control, whereas Standard only provides dual-zone.

I’m fairly sure the M50i includes 4-zone as standard.

Just compared the builds between the two on the website, and you are correct. Not standard on the 45e, but it is on the M50i.

Where I live, having heated seats and wheel are a must.

Congrats! Ordered mine yesterday. Super excited as well. Dealer had allocation too so I got the production number on the same day.
Did the same as you on the heated option. My golden retriever wants the rear seats as cool as possible!

how is the Chip shortage affecting things at the factory?

Mostly options being not available. As far as timelines, doesn't sound like there are much delays.

I put an order in for a 45e on 9/18, the dealer sent me the VIN. I entered the VIN into My BMW and it recognizes my car and the options I ordered. However, when I log out and log back in, the car is gone. Is there something in this tracker I am missing?

Log in first. Then using the VIN add it
