Congrats! I also ordered a Phytonic Blue 45e in early August and still waiting for it. Hope to get it within a month.

Here's my timeline so far based on the My BMW site:
8/3 = Submitted order and placed deposit
8/7 = Production Begins
8/14 = Entering Assembly Line
8/16 = Quality Check
8/17 = Awaiting Carrier Assignment

It has been stuck in the "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" step for over a month now, and I hear that is not usual, but I also understand the website is not always accurate. I called Genius but they could not provide an update as it's been released already. Contacted my sales rep again right before posting this and he says it should be here by early next month and possibly even sooner.

However I would think if it's this close, they would know by now so kind of surprised and not really sure what's going on. But tbh I'm not in a huge rush. I work from home full-time and due to the pandemic we haven't really been going anywhere other than to run errands usually just once a week. While it would be nice to be able to enjoy the car sooner than later, I can wait. My main goal was to get the car before the year ends so I can get the federal tax credit when I file my 2021 taxes in early 2022. Didn't want to get the car say in early 2022, and then have to wait an entire year for the tax credit.

oh yes, yours should be here any day now. I read on a different thread, CA post product transport were 3-4 weeks. Genius told me Bay Area will go through Richmond, not sure what that meant, as most domestic cars are moved on trains/trucks in the US.

Just curious, what other rebates you going for? What dealer did you use?

He says it could be here as early as next week. If not then, then early October.

Just pulled the trigger myself today! (northeast)
Got a build code also

Phytonic Blue Metallic
M Sport
20" M Star-spoke bi-color wheels, style 740M

Executive Package (S0ZPX)
Parking Assistance Package (S0ZPK)
M Sport Brakes with Blue Calipers (S02NH)
4-zone automatic climate control (S04NB)
Extended Shadowline Trim (S07M9)
Heated Front Seats, Armrests & Steering Wheel

Hoping to generate the PenFed signed up yesterday assuming ths late in the game I am safe since I won't be expecting this car till Nov!

Was really torn on getting the bmw driver assistance professional package but after some digging and reading I opted out since I am not really in a city but would be nice during long trips.

Replacing a 2019 XC90 already have a 2021 Tesla Model Y in the garage but the ride is so stiff and quality is meh.

Ha, nice. Same consideration here on the driving assistance. Interestingly I considered the XC90 T8 before the X5.

Wow, that's definitely not normal. My car was Awaiting Carrier Assignment on 8/22 and arrived Bay Area 9/14.

Argh, this wait is now killing me. Status bumped to "Scheduled for Production".

For those who are doing outside financing, many lenders' underwriting is good for only 30 days. I was advised by my dealer to start the financing process around status "Awaiting Carrier Assignment", for west coast deliveries, that's around a 3-weeks wait from there.

After being in the "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" status since 8/17, it has finally moved onto the next step, "Dispatched from Factory". Hopefully I can still take delivery before 11/2 so I can get the full $1500 for the CA incentive.

Wow, what the heck is that delay
Transit should take ~3 weeks to Bay Area, good luck.

Should be 2 weeks at this point.

Ooh, sweet!

I also ordered an xDrive45e, also in Phytonic Blue, and am also a Week 43 build! So our cars will be litter mates! I’m in the South Central US, so it won’t take too long to get it delivered. That said, my SO and I haven’t decided if we want to do the PCD or not.

I went with the Cognac Vernasca Leather, M Sport Package, 20” wheels, Executive Package, Luxury Seating Package, Driving Assistance Pro Package, Parking Assistance Package, Climate Comfort Package, and Towing Hitch.

I originally ordered a xDrive40i, but thanks to the way I had it loaded up, the xDrive45e was actually *cheaper.* I suspect it’s because, on the xDrive40i, I had spec’d the Air Suspension (which is standard on the 45e) and the M Sport (which is much cheaper on the 45e). And the 45e itself got a price reduction for ‘22.

And I could get used to 30 mi of electric range.

The only thing I’m worried about is if the base sound system will really suck. If so, I’m prepared to replace the speakers.

Nice! Did your SA confirm Week 43 is Oct 16?

He told me "Week 43" and "Week of the 22nd" in one breath. Week 43, appears to range from Oct 17 - Oct 23. But I'm not sure how BMW does their weeks, and if they start on a Friday or Saturday.

He thinks--if I have it shipped, instead of doing the PCD--I might possibly get it as early as Oct 30, and as late as Nov 5. I would rather do the PCD, since it's a cool experience, but it's going to come down to when it gets done and how ridiculous my clients get over this next couple of weeks. It might be that my work doesn't leave me with a spare weekend to drive to South Carolina and pick up the car for any of November.

This is consistent with what BMW Genius told me. Week 43 starts October 15. Should clear VPC/quality control by last week of October. I have 2 weeks to wait for shipping to West Coast, so you receiving it first week of November as you're in their backyard makes sense.

I've had a past experience trying to ship a car spanning Thanksgiving. Some really hoping I could get this delivery before Thanksgiving.

So Oct 15 is Week 43, eh? As my sales advisor told me Oct 22, specifically, it’s possible I’m actually in Week 44 (although I could have sworn he said Week 43) and so am a week behind you. I’d text him and ask, but it’s not that big a deal.

I hope you get yours before Thanksgiving, too. Unless there’s some kind of weird delay, I don’t see why you shouldn’t.

Hahaha didn't even realize I had been around that long. Mostly on and off. TBH the G05 is the most engagement I've ever had on this board. Shoot I've even been on a lurker on these forums longer than this when the E90 threads were just the colors they come in
