I hope you get yours before Thanksgiving, too. Unless there’s some kind of weird delay, I don’t see why you shouldn’t.
Since you have your production/build number, you can call BMW Genius and ask them which week and the date

Good looking out! Thanks for that.

So I called them just now, and the Genius told me I was actually in Week 44, and that Week 44 starts on November 1.

Whatever...

There's a chance I may have gotten bumped up. I was originally quoted week 43. This week is week 42, and I just got my VIN today and status bump.

Ooh, sweet. Congratulations. If what the BMW Genius said is correct, then it's actually:

Week 41: Oct 11/Oct 17
Week 42: Oct 18/Oct 24
Week 43: Oct 25/Oct 31
Week 44: Nov 1/Nov 7

So we're actually in Week 41, and you got bumped up a *couple* of weeks. Awesome! Once you've got your VIN, you're on the fast track. I see no reason why you shouldn't get yours before Thanksgiving.

I won't be surprised if mine stays at Week 44. My dealer didn't have any allocations for the 45e, and I sat in the Order Bank for a month before BMW picked up my order. There are four other people on the waitlist for the 45e, too. So I'm grateful to even be getting mine before EOY.

Where does it have production week? I submitted my order with brokers a few days ago and it's already in production

I received my production code yesterday and looked on MyBMW and I see it says production begins and VIN assigned already. Wonder how the broker just snagged a slot so quickly.

I think you're off by 1 week. Your list should start at week 42. I think queued for production and getting VIN is status a week prior to production. My production starts next week, week 43. Another member here had week 42, moved from queue to exterior assembly today. He was on queue status last week

You might well be right.

The whole damn thing is confusing. The BMW Genius told me that Week 44 was Nov 1 - Nov 7 and that my car was scheduled to *start* production that week.

Meanwhile, my BMW sales rep *also* told me that Week 44 was Nov 1 - Nov 7, but that my car would get its VIN sometime between the Oct 15th and Oct 20th, and would be *completed* during Week 44.

I'm so confused. Oh, well.

My Genius rep told me that Week 44 was Oct 25, FYI.

Sounds right - I was week 42 and that's when it was built, i.e., this week.

My car entered "Production Begins" today, and so has been assigned a VIN. As I'm in the South-Central US, my dealer said it typically takes no more than a week for cars to be delivered from the factory once they're finished being built. So I'm expecting it in the very first week of November.

Exciting stuff!

Nice! Mine sat in "production begins" for exactly 10 days (which seems to be the reported duration), then it took about 5 days to move into "dispatched", hopefully it's on it's way to KC now or nearly there!

found out today the ride to KC is delayed and is gonna take "10 days or more" and they have no estimate for me for Richmond, so taking delivery before Thanksgiving may be tight - you're probably gonna beat me!

Wow. Curious how my car may arrive before yours when they're both going to CA?

Well a weird thing happened yesterday / today:

Suddenly my status on mygarage bumped up two spots from "dispatched" to "in transit", i.e., "in transit to the dealer"

So I called BMWNA again (twice ) and confirmed the vehicle is indeed still near KC and nowhere near the port (i.e., Richmond)

I'm not sure what triggers the status change, but it's weird that it changed ...

My SA (think same as yours) from day 1 warned me to not obsess over the "status" on mygarage saying it is not perfect and usually causes customers more stress; he went as far as advising I ignore it until close to the expected delivery range he told me.
I presume he just doesn't want emails and phone calls of overly obsessed folks like all of us freaking out over what turns out to be a day here or there. Anticipation is a killer
