being an Individual, he placed his order at least 10-11 weeks ago when B&W was still available. plus, the M50i was the only variant one could still get B&W (though I'm aware of a couple very rare exceptions). Notice he has the tow hitch as well with isn't available to option if one were to order now.

Thank you. I really didn't have a choice of color. I had to take what they had. My favorite color is Donington grey, but when I saw Dravit Grey, I was in love. Even the company I used to wrap the car thought it was a custom color.

I didn't order it. There were a handful of dealers in the autonation family that had a few X5's left that were as well appointed as mine. I had to drive 100 miles to San Diego to pick this one up. It was a fun ride back home

So they charged you $7k over the msrp?

I think you could have sold X6 for more through private party (just more work.in people test driving)

At one point my automation dealer had 10 M50i’s in stock or on their way….I think most were custom orders but they were literally in the dealer inventory on day and all but one were there a few days later

Congrats on the ride. I’ve had mine about a week less than you and with the amount of driving and gas consumed…I’m convinced I melted a glacier or two

well, just because you didn't custom order it (the dealer did), you can claim it's a custom color because it is BMW Individual paint.

No. They didn't charge me the 7K. When they emailed me the contract, I saw that the amount was more than the verbal price they quoted me. That's why I was upset. I told them that they wasted my time and that if they had been up front about the market adjustment, I wouldn't of sent them all my financials so I could be approved. The SA was actually really nice about it because I gave him an ear full. He told me that his dealership is getting between 7-10K over MSRP because there aren't any cars. He also said that his sister works for Mercedes Benz and that they are getting 100K over on their AMG line. I believe it. Where I live I'm surrounded by very wealthy people, they generally don't care about the price as long as they want it.

Ah. I looked over your build and the color and options is exactly what I would buy if this were my last fully ICE SUV. You made awesome choices! I am sure it will bring you much joy for many years.

I also am impressed that you upgraded from an 09 X6, which probably means you kept it for awhile as well and not the typical 2-3 year lease upgrades. Here some extra care had to go into the decision 😊
