Questions about the MSS Spring kit
Hello I have an F95 and im interested in this kit. couple of questions......
1. how many different height settings do these have? Stock and what else? 2. if there are other settings, how many inches lower than stock are these settings? 3. will i still be able to use the suspension settings on the i-drive for comfort, sport & sport plus? and will going from comfort to sport plus be a noticeable difference as it is now? 4. is an alignment necessary after this installation? thanks |

These answers are just from me aggressively searching and reading the past couple of days, and should be taken with a large grain of salt.
1-2. Continuous adjustment from stock to over an inch of lowering. Subjective comfort can become worse than stock if you lower too much. 3. You feel a big difference now? I actually don't, but whatever you feel will be roughly of same order of magnitude. 4. Yes. |

Its a thread so any you want. You will get a wrench to adjust them. 2. if there are other settings, how many inches lower than stock are these settings? I've seen 30mm to 40mm lower. 3. will i still be able to use the suspension settings on the i-drive for comfort, sport & sport plus? and will going from comfort to sport plus be a noticeable difference as it is now? This will not change since the shocks are not being adjusted, you will still have full control over your sport settings. 4. is an alignment necessary after this installation? No you are just replacing springs only, no other suspension system is being touched. (Just a note here if a shop needs to realign when only replacing a spring you might want to see if they put things back in the correct spot LOL) Edit: I stand corrected on this answer. Yes you should get your alignment checked. If you adjust it to far it will be out.

Ordered. Should be installed by this time next week. I hope it's not as stiff as when I did the HnR vtf on the f85.
Handling got way better and acted better under acceleration too, but pretty bumpy. The gap is unbearable. I'll do a full review for F96 |

Another MSS question I haven't seen addresed- does the installation of those springs DECREASE tongue weight towing capacity. If the springs are softer than stock, I would assume the answer is "yes", but I haven't read anything to confirm my suspicions. I'll be shopping for a travel trailer soon and need to know if those springs will force me to dial back trailer weight limit, and if so, by how much. Stealth hitch rates the vehicle with their hitch at max 600lbs tongue (and 8k GVWR on the trailer itself). Wondering how MSS affects those numbers.

What are y'all seeing for install cost on the springs? Should be pretty straight forward install. I dealt with the wheel gap on my F85 for 3 years, but I don't think I can handle it on F95.

Depends on shop, I'm seeing between $500 to $1000. All four corners need to be touched not like the previous f85/6.

That's actually a great question. Don't they make weight distribution devices to up the touché weight. Not sure if that's a viable option. |
