Wireless phone charging and new iPhone 12

Does anybody know, how G05 wireless charging manages new iPhone 12 charging? I assume that Qi charging will work, but only with reduced speed vs. faster MagSafe charging.

It would be superb, if BMW updates wireless charging to support MagSafe for MY2021 cars.

Spec sheet for the 12 Pro certainly list Qi and its about half the rate of Magsafe. I presume the 12 is the same.

Personally I'm less fussed about Magsafe but then its rare I'd ever need a quick charge in the car.

Unlikely as it needs new hardware and MY21 is already defined.

Does a MagSafe charger also work as a normal (non-magnetic Qi charger), as plenty of non-iPhone users out there too.

Yep they said the magsafe charger itself is Qi compatible (there's a dual version that also charges an apple watch which isn't "magsafe" standard), it would just not deliver the full 15W

I plan to get that phone too, will use in my car. As mentioned, it should fit. If not, no loss as it won't charge any faster than normal wireless and I expect I'd use a cable anyway on long journeys as I'd be using TomTom satnav via CarPlay.

Standard wireless charging is pretty crap, for charging capacity.

I don't think it will be an issue. I have the iPhone X and compared the Pro Max with its size - it's only slightly bigger - I think it goes from 2.7 inches wide to 3 inches wide. Seeing how much space my phone has now, the Max will fit - no problem I would think. I have the horizontal charger, BTW, because of the heated/cooled cup holders for the sake of reference.

edit: looks like the pro max is about 5/8" taller - still think it will fit w/o issue. plenty of clearance on the charger pad when my iPhone X is on it.

anyone have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, how does it fit in the charger. (I'm assuming the x5 and the x5m have the same charger.... ) I'm leading towards the Max but we'll see

it should be no issue with iPhone 12 Pro Max. I used a paper to outline where iPhone 11 Pro Max sit in the trey pushed all the way up. I had a slim case with the phone and there are still plenty of room.

I have the 12 Pro. Other that it charges hot, just like my XS Max, it is charging fine on my 2021 45E.

They should update the charger to support OnePlus 8 Pro's wireless charging at 30 W :-)

On my F80 the wireless adapter is too small for the 12Max, any solutions?
