Aftermarket: Should have ordered didn’t
I am hoping we can make a sticky for aftermarket or OEM adds that you would have liked to option for but you didn’t because you bought off the lot. I am interested in what can be done and what prices we are looking at. Thought a sticky for adds would be informative and all in one place.
My List: 1. Adaptive Cruise Control 2. Laser Lights 3. Leather dash 4. Tow Package (I know aftermarket but would not want to mess with the fascia and just replace if necessary. I am looking at stealth to see if is better and hidden

Installation does require the removal of the bumper. They have an authorized installer search option if you do not want to donut yourself. The wiring harness is all you need, there are instructions for that as well. |

1. Adaptive Cruise Control: Expensive but should be possible 2. Laser Lights: $12k a set plus coding is needed so I'm not sure you want this 3. Leather dash: possible and also needs the leather door tops ie full new door cards too

Thanks. I think I will go after the Adaptive. Even if it is costly it is cheaper than the deprecation realized driving off the lot and we keep our cars. Just dropped 5k or so on the ppf, paint correction and nano coat so worth it to get it. We have the extended leather merino. So not sure if you can do the dash alone. Arm rests and center are all part of the extended so I can live with the window sills. I will pass on the lights. They are going to probably be pricey to replace after warranty anyway. I like the idea of the hitch being more hidden and as long as the fascia goes back on after install on the tow it is worth it.
On the ACC. I have been wondering what the open holes are in the front end. I will bet those are for placing the additional radar. We have the 360, collision, 360 and parking assist the dealer just didn’t add the stupid $800 option. Not sure why they left the leather dash off when they ordered extended merino anyway.

How would we even go about adding ACC? I'd love to add it, but I assume it requires the radar, buttons for the steering wheel, and a re-program?
Will the dealer do it? Should I try to find the parts and install them myself? |

I ordered my CB 40i on Friday around noon. Emailed my CA early this morning to add massage seats, and if you can believe, order had already gone to "112". Dealer called BMW Canada to ask for the change, but no go. My only regret, don't think it'll be able to wipe the grin off my face.

I will definitely be ordering next time. In my next X5, I would like ACC (I can't believe it isn't standard. We have standard useless light carpet thing but no ACC?), HK, leather dash, acoustic glass, spare tire, and maybe air suspension. It is near impossible to find an X5 with these options on the lot, so next time I will order. Also, I don't want 22" wheels and finding a M Sport without those wheels is tough.
