Android or iOS? FYI - My Samsung does not show that option (BMW Android App has not been updated since October), but my wife's iPhone has the Climatize option from a recent update.

I do have remote start feature and guess what, I have an Android app and there is no Climatize option. Never thought BMW will screw up so bad. No Android Auto but Apple car play. Digital key support only on Samsung but not on iPhone and now this.

When my check engine light came on, BMW did remote diagnostics. It was a communications error between the engine and body control computer. Software update was to have fixed it. Hasn’t come back on since, but took a month to come on the first time.

There is a significant update due on or around January 7. I am confident that is accurate information based on my source in Munich.

Who is calling the Genius about the android App and missing remote start option?? I called last night about the 3D camera and remote features not working.

From the error it sounds like it stuck at activating the subscription... which is bad development if that's true. There should always be a fail safe mechanism in case of bad coverage areas or system maintenance. It should still activate the system unless it relies on BMW servers to process the input date - which is also bad.

Camera works in the car. This is more about a app development issue.

I talked to genius this morning and they said they were aware of the problem and its on there end. Estimated 2 or 3 days before they will have it resolved.
