Sweet, good to know! Hopefully we get ours (40i) by april....

That would be cool, we should meet up. I have a buddy that trains BMW Genius around the region that i can invite over. He has an exact one as ours, but 50i as a daily driver, pretty slick.

you two are going to make me regret not getting the 50i, but again, this is wife's daily.

You need 275/45 R21 and 315/35 R21 so no, those would not work.

50i is a great ride overall, if I didn't need an SUV due to these shitty roads I'd be in an M5 Comp or something more fun. I'm considering getting an M2 Comp for a fun weekend ride but I won't get one if I'm still living in this area. The 50i is a beast in its own right, 0-60 in 4.2s and the power delivery is butter smooth. Stating the obvious, it's a thirsty SUV with me averaging 15mpg usually with 70% city like driving, something I'm around 14mpg. Highway will grant you about 22mpg at best (mine was so far) but it's a blast to drive. The 50i is a sleeper especially debadged since no one excepts a 5200lb SUV to smoke them on the streets when X5's are pretty common except the 50i and ///M.

Exact? I'd needs pictures to prove that My window sticker is posted around on the forum somewhere

yeah, 40i was more than what my wife needs, let alone 50i. I on the other hand love the sound of the 50i. I'm eyeing the X6M, but need a year or so to save up for really love the M5 comp, but more practical with a suv because of kid(s) in the near future.

When i said exact, i meant to the one I ordered. not yours, lol. I've seen yours options/trim and its what i want on my X6

I thought about getting an X5M but I'd rather not have a ride stiff enough to break my back. The roads here are bad so I like having a comfortable ride No kids here so an M5 Coupe would be perfect if one existed

Ok so I realized something and feel a little dumb now. The stock 21" tires are Pirelli PZ4 run flats not normal P Zeros. Here's a picture of mine

I like the idea that the scorpion with the UTQG of 600+. We are in AZ and we are pretty slow and cautious drivers, do you still recommend not getting them?

It will be over a year before we need to decide after we receive our X5, but want to have a good idea what we should order when time comes. We have similar, if not same built as you...
AZ here to. We have the Pzero’s Corsa’s on the QV. Super sticky. I almost rolled over when I saw Pzero’s on the 22” but didn’t deter me from buying them. I know with the Corsa’s I am pretty careful in very cold or wet conditions but it has a lot of torque and don’t like cold weather so I am careful. I hope the Pzero’s on the BMW is a tad stronger but I do find them really comfy and looks are pretty cool as well. I am sure we will pay handsomely and wait times on spares. I plan to head over to discount to see the options myself. At least we have a spare. On the QV it requires a specialty tow and a wait time plus CCMs just puts an additional concern over who touches the wheel/tire. Discount seems to be pretty good. Would like to find an all season somewhere.

Yeah, I'm also curious about running a square set of the 21" Michelins year round. Non-run flat is good.

What size wheels did you order? I wish I still lived in AZ, weather year around is pretty much perfect except when it hits 115+ P Zeros do suck, I'd rather have Pilot Sports any day of the week. The real issue is finding a good set to run staggered without changing the rolling diameter between the front and rear. I'm still heavily considering running 20" wheels despite not being a fan of the smaller size on my X5. Staggered 20"s are 275/45 R20 and 305/40 R20. My 50i struggles for traction even while it's warm on the factory PZ4's I can easily spin tires of have traction control kick in while powering through a corner which is annoying. If I turn TSC off you'll be sideways with no effort. PZeros simply aren't the standard anymore

It's not even a real AS option for the 50i, maybe it'll be tolerable on a 40i but I wouldn't.

Just don't put 20's on your 50i that's abuse

ugh I don't want to but I also don't want to run shitty tires

edit: I'd run a square set up of 295/40 R21 but they won't fit on the front wheels and I don't think I can go that wide up front anyways

As Android mentioned, since we have time to decide what to get, hoping that something new and better comes out before then but do let us know what options there are. We've ordered the 21" rft and doesnt sound like there are many options

I cross shopped the Q8 and most all had 22” wheels. How does Audi handle AS tires for their Q8 with 22’ wheels??
