Yeah, except that doesnt work, you're still not going to get their number. As already pointed out: If you use their 3.6 and add .2 you're still going to be faster than the 60i even if you go ahead and give those numbers a rollout of the same .2, in other words subtract it.

So you've omitted the rollout on the C&D numbers to the tune of .4 (their .2 and your .2) and given the 60i a .2 rollout for a total .6 handicap on the CD numbers and they still have a quicker number. See the problem now?

.1 seconds difference in 0-60 from one year to the next? I bet we can get ten pages out of this thread.

MPG figures are driven by EPA regs and rolling load (dyno) type testing, in conditions which really aren't a good match for reality, 90% of which is self-reported by manufacturers with only a few being audited by the EPA for testing themselves. It's a mess and far from ideal, but is still more accurate than the European standards which grossly inflate highway range and fuel economy somehow.

I've found C&D's 200 mile 75 mph highway test data to be quite useful and accurate. Their EV range testing showing a 310 mile range Tesla only getting 220 miles of highway range is a real eye-opener and invaluable. Consumer Reports also does their own independent fuel economy testing as well.

I recall Hyundai was busted 5-10 years ago somehow for inflating MPG figures. They might have been caught in one of the EPA's audits and found to be inflating things. I think they had to pay a fine of some sort and/or compensate owners.

The fact that this has gotten to two pages is absurd…but par for the course.

Indeed, I was obsessed with 0-60 times in the 90s but at this point my 5800lb soccer mom SUV is quicker than all three of the sports cars I own so it stopped being interesting to me I guess.
