[X5/40i]

so today my x5 update to the software 07/2019.45, I tried to add the DR (driver recorder) even though I already started the trial on the website but I don't see it on the Idrive system, I refresh the apps but nothing. might take the car to the dealer. any solutions for this?

I've had trouble when adding applications where a forced reboot/reset of the system (Hold the Volume button in for at least 30 seconds, until the screen goes black...) resolved the issue. After that, see if it shows up or try another "refresh" of the apps after the reboot/reset.

Wow that’s a really old version. Was this a remote update or done at the dealership?

Oooops...I totally missed that the OP said 07/2019. (I mentally was thinking he said 07/2020!! Must be getting tired!)

If you really just got upgraded to 07/2019, you'll want to look for one of the "add Drive Recorder" threads, but I think you need newer SW than that to add it...

Update: Take a look at this thread: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1724661. I think you have to be on 11/2019 to install Drive Recorder if it wasn't a pre-installed factory option...)

neverminnd of what I said hahaha ,I just checked and the subscription takes a while when you placed an order one the store for the apps, it says now complete and I al ready have it.

also my update is the 11/2019.70, I dont know if this is the latest software.

Just a question. Not related to this topic. How did you refresh the app's I tried to do this yesterday but couldn't find how? I presume there is another way than the good old push the volume button for 30 seconds?

yeah I have to check my eyes too because the update is the 11/2019.70, I don't know if this is the lates one, it was done remotely here at my home. also I already add the DR I just need to wait for the order to be completed from the App Store, but thanks for finding the forum I was getting crazy trying to find the forum haha

hello, that's easy when you have the menu where it says Bmw store and top installed apps press either one for a couple of seconds and it will show you three options and on of them is update apps.
