Doug does love BMWs.
Saw some good videos he's had on 1M's, M2's, an older M3, etc.
He says great things about the brand.

I enjoy the analog feel of these cars but count me out as being a fan of 1990s BMW interiors.

BMW E34 M5 production ended in August 1995. A quarter of a century ago...

Also this was the last NA I-6 M5. From there on it would be N/A V8s (E39), V10 (E60) and twin turbo N63 V8s (F10 and F90).

it is sad the m3/m4 has ballooned to the size of a 5 series now. On the bright side it is significantly lighter than the older M5's by about 300-400 pounds.

I just hope M3s don't get to the size of the current M8/M5... those cars are just way to big

I feel those 90s interiors didn't age well as far as quality goes. The Bangle era cars held up better.

Well he certainly wasn't biased in favor of a car that is live on his site....I'd be a little ticked at that score if I was the owner listing it....

This sold years ago on BAT, but this has to be the most beautiful E34 M5 I have ever seen.

I don't think he does a lot of research on those cars in general, just checks out the interior/exterior of the particular car he gets his hands on and presents their quirks & features.

No they don't hold up well at all. My E36 M3's interior has so many things that needs to be repaired and rattles constantly. I really like the design though, it makes you feel like you're in a cockpit just because the dash is angled so aggressively towards the driver, but quality wise, it doesn't hold up well. It's a huge jump from the E36/E34 to the E46/E39.

..I watch all of his videos, have come to really appreciate his reviews and quirks.

He's not trying to be comprehensive, its like having a relaxed 20 min conversation about a car thats interesting for some reason... happy he's built success out of this endeavor.

+1 on the cockpit. It's also because you sit in it. On the E46 it's more like you are sitting on it.
