What's this insect?

How to get rid of them? Almost daily I find one inside the house. When it gets dark, I can't even open the door with having 5 of them fly inside

I fucking hate those things. You can hear their mass when the run into things. It grosses me out for some reason. They seem to be attracted to light. During summer I always shut off all the lights before opening the door to the outside. Seems to help a bit

I wear a gaiter (like a scarf/face mask) when I ride just because of those and other bugs. No fun inhaling one of those.

For some reason they (the June bugs) are sticking around longer this year. Normally they’re gone by early July.

Ah....i see. Thanks. That youtube vid was informative. I do have some lawn problems I guess. But not sure if i want to use chemicals. Will see.
They dont gross me out like earwigs do, but still very annoying. Cant exit through patio doors without them entering house and somehow even with everything closed I still catch those inside.

You can try to control grubs with organic solutions if you don’t want to use chemicals, but not sure how well they work.

They are June Bugs which are Grubs previously that will decimate your grass root system. I suspect your yard may not be in great shape?

Good luck. You’ll need to read up on how to control those grubs locally. Almost certainly not a once and done situation though.
