Here's a page from the technical training manual showing the F95/96 specific parts.

Sweet, i'll update the main post ... though the question remains, do we know the M50i w/DHP, i.e., with "M Sport Pro suspension" does NOT have this?

Thanks, I'll update the main post ... overall this is what I found with a very casual glance through the parts catalog - there are "m exclusive" parts ... but those are the same on the M50i w/DHP.
The X5/6M Competition models will further confuse this - my speculation is they'll add comp-model specific parts & tuning so it'll be: X5 series: X5 M50i -> X5m -> X5mc -> X5M Comp And then the XM will be the first true ///M-made X-line vehicle similar to how the E9x was the first true ///M-made 3-series. |

As of a few hours ago I am considering a trade/sale of my '21 M50i for either a new(21) or an order of a '22 X3M Comp or X5M comp '21 or '22. Things are changing real fast right now in this world. "Chip shortages", component scarcities, blah, blah, blah, its OK and it has been a weird past 9-12 months. We can certainly all agree on that one.
Spartansburg can pump this stuff rapidly, I know, my '21 M50i was ordered and delivered in Naples FL 3 week later. |

One thing we all left out is software that controls calibrations of the car will be different. Even if one were to add all of the parts from a X5MC onto a M50 they won’t drive or feel the same. Throttle response, suspension tuning, transmission tuning etc…. Back when I had the F80 people were able to program certain M3CS or GTS tuning and it supposedly made the car a lot better.

I own both X5M50i w/DHP and X5MC. Other than obvious exterior and interior aesthetic differences, I don't know everything mechanically different but I can tell you that there is no mistaking the difference between these two vehicles in terms of driving and handling dynamics. It's like night and day but both are great SUV's for their specific purposes.

I took a photo of one of the upper control arms. Notice the "M" on the top of the arm. I know you won't see that on the M50i. There are also many more part differences between the two models. As you would expect.

X5m Differs From M50i Because ...
Very true! Seemed like everything on my X3M was stamped ///M. Even the foam insulation in the rear had ///M.
I always under the impression the ///M parts were designed specifically and made stronger than the normal parts. I looked at my upper control arm, no stamped ///M. I do not have DHP on my M50i. |

Well, we just need someone with an M50i w/DHP to snap a photo for us ... iconoclast do you have DHP? If so, willing to snap a photo of your upper control arm?

I do but my control arms are painted matte black. Not sure I would be able to get a photo of them without a jack to prop it up and if so would be able to see it if it is painted.
