2019 X5 40i 22" 742m setup
Hello fellas,
I got some questions that probably will sound very obvious ( newbie )...probably something that was asked hundreds of times already... I'd like to change the wheels on my 2019 X5 40i. I am looking at 22" 742M wheels. I've quoted a dealer for a setup. And i noticed that the dealer returned me the mags with part numbers that show they are: 9,5Jx22 ET:37 [ both front and rear although part #numbers are different ]. 36-11-8-090-013 and 36-11-9-882-610 From what i understand, the 22" 742M "most" of the time are of the format: 9.5 ET:36 (or 37) for the front AND 10.5 ET:45 for the rear ... I am confused as to why the dealer giving me an option of the same width and offset for both front and rear and then also with that giving the tires sizes 275/35/22 and 315/30/22 Also another dealer warned me that X5M comp wheels may not fit the regular X5 40i or X5 50i I am now having some doubts to actually go and buy something used from a private market. So long story short... Would a 10.5" rim fit at the rear of a base 2019 X5 40i ? Or should i be concerned ? I was under impression that the generation G05 wheels should be interchangeable between 40i and 50i [ M and non M ] ... Any feedback is greatly appreciated, Thanks! |

OEM G05 X5 22" wheel specs: Front = 22x9.5 ET37 Rear = 22x10.5 ET43 OEM G05 X5 22" tire specs: Front = 275/35/22 Rear = 315/30/22 Would a 10.5" rim fit at the rear of a base 2019 X5 40i? Yes, that's an OEM size, and you can go much wider than that. Also, the X5M comp wheels will fit the "regular" X5. Those wheels have more aggressive offsets, which I think looks better. |
