xDrive transmission & tire rotation
Hi,
I recently got a 2022 x5 e45 (I had a x5 2017 before this one). The tires on the front have more thread than the ones in the rear. My question is: does the xDrive transmission always provides 50/50 traction front/rear or it does something different (and maybe more adaptive)? Basically I am wondering what I should expect in terms tires wear between front and rear moving forward and how I should go about it in terms of rotating these tires. Thanks you all in advance! |

Rear tires wear faster is normal for
RWD base car. Especially 45e type of car, that 700ish lb battery is mainly in rear axial. Traction is really a function of grip of the tires. When you out more weight on a axial or weight shift to that axial, that axial has more traction. Tires natural faster there. As for rotation, I think if possible , it is always a good idea. So yes, do you have stagger or square setup?
