Yes the quality of the Autobahn puts every inch of US interstate highway to shame. Smoothness is one aspect of quality. Waviness is another, turn/sweep radius is another, etc etc etc
More generally, German road (build) quality far exceeds US road quality. Ghana and Myanmar have road quality similar to the US. |

Yes roads in Germany are built differently.
The weather is blamed for poor roads in every state. And trucks. Weather and trucks. Design and build the roads to match the driving experience in Germany which has 1/4 the population of the US. The US has the resources to do this. Right? |
