Yeah, like you I do like the 50e much more in every way other than iX's instant acceleration at any speed and mostly the one pedal driving. I REALLY, REALLY love the one pedal driving. Bums me out that the Volvo XC60 PHEV offers it and BMW doesn't on the 50e.

Remedy Available as of yesterday; 2 weeks after it arrived from the local port; they called to pick it up today…that was some fast shipping on the parts once it went to remedy available; apparently.

So we picked ours up on 8/4 and our sales rep showed us that there were no open recalls. The print out that we signed was when they got the vehicle on 8/2. So in setting things up finally on bmwusa.com and my account it shows that there is an open recall. The site peeps have been using shows recall 0065230400 (for the 8.5) update. When we were with the genius going through the car upon pick up he even stated we had 8.5. But now we don't? Curious if anyone would know how they could see no recalls a week ago. But now show the recall that has been with the vehicle since it was in transport? Now I feel like we've been had signing a document that wasn't indeed true, or if this recall just randomly popped back up?

That is not a recall. It is just a notification that your vehicle will be eligible to get the 8.5 update. The dealers are told they will not be paid to update the vehicle unless it is part of a warranty repair. The OTA for the update is scheduled to start in September.

Sounds like your dealer is screwing around/incompetent. Hopefully they figure out how to update the software so you can get it.
