Wait, did they raise the price $200 recently? I could have sworn I had a build with them in my cart when they were around $275?

Yes the price is higher now by 40%. They're learning about supply and demand now.
Now I'm wondering if I really need them. And trying to find out other ways to black it out. Do they need to be powder coated like rims?

They are just BMW parts, seems IND between over pricing the grill and now ripping everyone off for the tips should not be getting any business anymore.

Here are the part numbers get them somewhere else

For vehicles with
Individual option high-gloss Shadow-Line
S7M9A=Yes
06 Trim, exhaust end pipe, left 1 51128078669
06 Trim, exhaust end pipe, right 1 51128078670

Maybe order from UK $111 each

https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/produ...1-12-8-078-669
https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/produ...1-12-8-078-670

They have 7 day DHL for 30 bucks, $250 total to USA

I see someone from IND post here a lot - can we get an explanation? I just put an order in a few days ago for about $500 worth of stuff and planned on spending another $1500-$2000 for my M4. However, not when prices will be raised randomly without explanation.

Nah... if you’re handy with a can of spray paint it’s not hard to do your own. Just be sure to clean if first with alcohol and then soap and water and get a good brand of paint that is designed for plastic.

Is there a was to choose them in black instead of chrome.

There's no picture of them in the link.
Thanks.

Do you think the heat from the exhaust fumes will melt the paint?

Description is below from the M50d - comes with cerium grey but has an individual option for high gloss black (shadow-line) tips, part numbers are for the gloss black tips.

For vehicles with
Individual option high-gloss Shadow-Line
S7M9A=Yes

Same part number as IND lists SKU : 51128078669 (IND only lists 1 of the 2 part numbers)

IND said in another post that they don't finish them, they just order them from BMW and resell them.

Yikes, seems like this exhaust tip mod is better off sourcing fro Europe or just take a paint can go it.

Here's a picture of my new installed grill. Personally, I'm not a fan of the all blacked out look ("It looks good on you though"), so I ordered mine with chrome surround and painted center. I understood that the camera surround would remain black, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was painted Phytonic Blue as well. The painted center really sets it off -- now it looks like two separate grills, as a BMW should have. Even outdoors in the cold, it only took three minutes to install.

I know people are complaining about the price, although mine was only ("only"?) $515 shipped. Any DIYer want my original grill to paint themselves? It's only a month old and in perfect shape.

Strange enough whenever something is posted about IND, their reps appear to offer insight about the product....strangely quiet this time...
