My BMW app update - My Trips section

On the BMW App, click check status under the image of your car, then services at the toop. Click on Remote software upgrade and on that page about halfway down says version: xx

I'm not sure it's area specific as I'm in the UK and having the same issue.

Took my profile off the car and reloaded it on and that made no difference, starting to run out of ideas to try which is quite frustrating as I'd like to be able to track my journeys to claim back mileage etc!

Hmmm this is all that's on that page. No version number.

i'm also in the US. the only time i've seen it there in the app was for only a few days after performing OTA RSU.

your current i-Level version is seen in Car > Settings > General settings > Remote software upgrade

Strange, so many inconsistencies with this stuff.

My is at .58.
Something interesting happened when I go to the car, it told me that service were updated and took me to privacy, dont see whats updated but “my trips”
Still there and checked off. Still not in the app tho …
Im also wondering now since it came with this version from factory maybe this is why? And next update it might show up.

i am in UK and my trips works in my car. I followed the instructions in your first paragraph above but no version shows in my app.

Those are two different things. What you had was an Apps and Services update and those are pushed out regularly. The iDrive version is .58 and should not have any effect on whether your trips are in the app or not.

yep, Im just saying my ver. is .58 and there was a notification for new privacy settings. But nothing changed, no my trips in the app.

I'm wondering if removing the car from the app, then adding it back in after a few hours might help shift things along?

It may be a Christmas miracle but our “MyTrips” is now working. I inadvertently logged our X5 out of the app and upon logging back on it is now functional. I can’t guarantee that was what fixed it but it has never worked before today.

Just a log out and log in on the app and nothing else ? Just tried that and again same. Any more steps you took would help. Thanks.

I know it should work if advertised but the my trips on BMW is rubbish compared to Mercedes, the APP as a whole is nowhere near as good as the mercedes APP.

Same with Range Rover, my father had a Velar and the app was awesome, had remote start etc (in the UK)
The BMW app is a poor show, considering the technology is all there they seem to struggle to make it work!
