Interesting wrinkle. On one hand, if they had delivered my vehicle this month, this wouldn't matter. Since it is now pushed to a week 10 build, I'm also thinking if I should wait another month.

Guess it depends on what options will come with FY25 and cost diffrence if any.

Honestly, I think I'm just going to accept it. It's only a few months difference and the warranty is still in effect for the full term.

It would be nice to get the new MY, but I don't think it's going to matter much at the end of the day.
Now that you are in production begins you can use the "F12" process to get your assembly date. Gives you something else to watch.

If any of these pending orders, like mine, are going to be a lease, the model year shouldn’t matter. It actually MAY help these late 2024 50e’s with incentives, loyalty, residuals or money factors. Assuming there are no changes between a 2024 and a 2025, You’re not going to own the cars anyways, so the model year means nothing.

Good point. Will investigate a lease when the time comes.

Already done. Feb 8 build date. Does that mean it's the date they start or the date they end?

Interestingly, the X5M guys are noticing price cuts. I am not optimistic for cuts on the lower models, but I hope this means prices/discounts at least stay flat.

Both, takes less than a day to build.

Would take that with a grain of salt until more have verified, only one member sees a decrease.

The only difference I see from the original pricing guide is DAP is $1,700 rather than $2,600. Have not been following the X6M pricing so don't know when that changed.

Nothing like a new model year SOP will energize a forum for auto enthusiasts. Let the excitement, enthusiasm, rumors, speculation, disappointment, misery, good and bad news, etc. begin.

Just spoke with my SA. I'm not saying I believe him, but for whatever it's worth, he told me they had a meeting about the 2025s this morning and they are absolutely not discounting them right away.

He said if I want he'll refund my deposit and I can wait for the 25s, but I think I'm just going to stick with my order.

That's a bummer, but not terribly surprising.

If I was paying full msrp for my24 and production week is March timeframe, I would probably cancel and get my25. Either i get the same spec x5 or there will options/color combo that wasnt available before. Either that or things gets deleted and i will regret cancelling my order.

Perhaps true, but also exactly what I would tell a customer with a 24' on order debating waiting for a few months.

'25s may not have as steep of a discount, and may not have any manufacturer incentives while '24s remain on the lot, but supply and demand will determine the prices. I suspect little difference for MY25s and thus I don't see a spike in demand this spring. Most X5 buyers aren't on the forums and probably don't even know that SOP is this Spring. If dealers want to keep selling cars, the discounts will return when the '24s are all sold.

Can't say you're wrong. Who knows. It's also just one dealership. Others may do things differently, even if these guys do stick to their guns.

One thing I do know is that they will do everything they can to keep the advantage on their side.

If you guys had a ‘24 50e on order (purchase) with week 11 production, and ZERO discounts from dealer, would you punt and order the ‘25? I realize it would delay delivery by at least one month, but I’d have the newest model and psychologically might feel better. Plus, it might help resale value if you keep it for the same time horizon. I sure wish I could know pricing, options and if anything chamged from this year’s unit before March.

If I was in no rush to get a new vehicle I would strongly consider it. I'm thinking there will be minimal changes, maybe just a software feature, and the price will stay the same. Those are purely guesses but the good thing is that you have time to decide and there is a good chance that the pricing guides will be out prior to you going into Production Begins which is when dealers generally keep any nonrefundable deposit.

Yeah, I’m keeping my week 10 order, I’m getting 8% off MSRP. Replacing with a 2025 model wouldn’t do much, changes aren’t large, if any, this isn’t an LCI. The potential residual loss is certainly offset by the discount.

Getting mine LCI in March (9 months of from order), hopefully.

By then It will be already old

Anyway, I hope they will adopt a smarter approach to options, by allowing individual selections of items and not force to buy the whole package.

It was a error post as the OP didn’t realize he omitted the B&W and red calipers for his build. Full on M models are still constrained, as cannibalizing XM sales, especially with Joe Achilles recent LCI X5M review questioning why would anyone purchase a XM. Wouldn’t expect to see the X5M/X6M discounted until the M5 touring hits the US market latter this fall.
