Jlevi SW | H&R Sport Plus Springs Now Available
H&R has expanded their lineup of spring upgrades for the E90/E92 M3 with the H&R Sport Plus Spring Set.
This updated version of the H&R Sport Spring offers a performance level above the standard Sport Springs with a more aggressive and stiffer spring rate while maintaining the practicality of the Sport Spring ride height. The Sport Plus spring set is ideal for those that want the standard H&R Sport Spring drop, 1.0" F and 0.6" R but with better handling that is well suited for track use. The Sport Plus set is still a streetable spring set but you will sacrifice some comfort in the way of improved handling. I wonder how different these are from my regular H&R Sport Springs

Yeah, exactly...with no data on rates, I am hesitant. I guess I will have to find somebody with the standard ones and check it out. If I want something stiffer, I may give the sport plus a shot. Hmm.

Well, that doesn't help me much. lol.
Question for you... How does the sport spring ride compare to the stock spring ride? Is it roughly the same as stock or a little stiffer? 10% stiffer, 30%, etc? What is YOUR opinion and experience tell you? I am trying to get a feel for it before I decide which route to take. I used to have coilovers on my last E36 M3 with 450/600 lb. springs. It was rough, but rocked on track. My GT3 was a bit punishing as well on the street! lol. Now that I have them M, I want something a bit stiffer, but not like the GT3. I would like a little increase in stiffness. Thus, comparing the sport springs to the stock ones will give me an idea of what I could expect from the sport plus. TIA.

I'd say somewhere between 20-30% increase in stiffness, but I haven't spent too much wheel time on the E90 M3's and I've spent even less time behind the wheel of one with H&R springs, so I'm judging off the typical increase in stiffness in other cars I've driven.
Hopefully someone else can comment? JL |

Had a few customers install these and so far solid feedback. Definitely a worthwhile option if you are unhappy with the standard Sport ride but love the practicality of the stance.
