I received paperwork sent by CA which has a 7-digit production number with order status 111. Just want to confirm:

1) Does this mean the dealer confirmed an allocation for my order and it's no longer waiting in the order bank?

2) I don't see week of build mentioned anywhere in the document. Is week of build always assigned together with production # or is it possible that it will come later? I found my prod. # on BMW My Garage and it shows "Order received (checked)" and the next step is "Scheduled for production (not checked yet)".

1. Yes, your car is in the process of being built.

2. It's too early. I believe you can get that once production actually begins. But may be wrong on the timing.

You can ask your dealer what week they believe it will be built. Mine told me as I sat there talking with him. Once your status changes to production begins and you get a vin you can check the F12 process and get a build date.

1) Yes, your order as an allocation and it is now an order with BMW.

2) It does have a production week associated with it at this stage. Give Genius a call and they can give you your production week.

Congrats on your order! As soon as you have a production number you can call BMW genius and they can give you the exact build week

Wow nice trick about F12. Thank you (and also big thanks to TurtleBoy )! I tried it and current 'prodDate' is empty. It did show 111 though and according to this other post 111 means "capacity checked production date is confirmed". I may try calling Genius as others suggested.

Yeah, call Genius to give you a production week. As you get closer to your production week, you will see the 111 change to 112 (Order scheduled for Prod) and 150 (Production Started). Then prodDate will populate and you will get a VIN number.

Thank you all. Called Genius and they said they don't see a concrete date/week yet (just 111 order confirmed). CA told me it should be May production. Maybe it's just too early and I'll wait a bit.

Call again, some folks don't like to do their job. 111 means the date has been confirmed.

HUCA! I've had genius give me the run around and another call with another genius miraculously had the info.

You're absolutely right! Called again today and they told me it's scheduled for week 18. I also asked how long does it typically take for it to be delivered to the west coast and they told me usually 2-3 weeks after production.
