*Raises eyebrows at missing standard 5A1 LED Fog Lights*

Omission error or will we see *blank plates* where LED fog lights are located.

No Harman Kardon surround sound system or WiFi Hotspot for 40i or 45e (used to be part of the premium and executive packages) and no wireless charging for any MY22 G05s at all!

  • 4U9 Acoustic protection for pedestrians
  • 2VR 2-axle air suspension

And 40i has:
  • 1CE 48V Mild Hybrid System

Other than these, there's nothing the 40i has that 45e doesn't and 40i price has not dropped.

Comparing M21 45e and MY22 45e:
  • 534 Automatic climate control -> 534 Dual Zone Auto Climate Control
  • 5A1 LED Fog Lights -> ??
  • 6CP Apple CarPlay Compatibility -> ZAX Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Compatibility
  • ?? -> 6NS Enhanced Bluetooth

Still doesn't explain the price drop.
ZEB Enhanced USB & Bluetooth is part of the premium package for MY21

Is it even legal to sell a car that doesn't have fog lights? Doesnt literally every car ever for the last 50 years have fog lights?...

edit: googled this and found this: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/29/a...disappear.html

Other than a shuffling of options and missing LED fog lights, Hotspot, wireless charging & HK, are there any changes to the 45e? Or is it essentially the same specs as the 2021?

Yes, it is at least in the US. For example, Lexus got rid of the fog lights on the refreshed 4th generation RX with standard headlights.

BMW M Performance sedans and ///M vehicles are sold w/o auxiliary fog lighting, removed for high performance cooling and or brake cooling.

Somewhat surprising if that's the case for general line vehicles.

If the Fog lights are truly gone, then the front bumper must have been redesigned. What other styling changes might there be for the 45e in 2022?

Thank you sharing this.

Well looks like its M50i for due to lack of options (which makes it an excuse to upgrade )

No HK, leather dashboard, $1900 indv paint, or DHP are the deal breakers for me. Can't imagine getting an $86k+ car and not having exactly what I want

No need to redesign the bumper - just put plastic covers over holes where fog lights used to be. That’s how it’s done on most vehicles where fog lights are optional and the bumper is used.

Another dealer was willing to quote me on a percent off basis on a 2022 order as well.
I ordered my X5 45e Today and was told I would not get MY21 but MY22 but they did not have the MY22 price available (???) . They would not guarantee the June incentives.

Has anyone seen a picture of the 2022 X5 45e?
I'm told that 2022 X5 production will not begin until the first week in August. So ordering now would not provide much of an advantage. There may guide updates in the meantime

There are no June incentives for MY22 yet since there are no cars to be delivered. Incentives, if any, will be advertised probably in August the earliest...

Newbie here... does that mean one needs to wait till August to order in order to get incentives?

While the incentives, if any, won't be known you can still order and you will get any incentives that are active and you are eligible for when you sign the deal.

Why oh why do they not have an independent option for 5AZ LaserLight! It would've been awesome to get LaserLights without having to get the whole Executive Package, I was kind of keeping my fingers crossed for that

Historically when are the incentives(APR/loyalty credit) announced?

I also want to order in Aug and pick up in Oct, but I am afraid of missing out the incentives.

Usually the 2nd business day of the month. I would not worry at all about missing the incentives, if anything they will be better in Oct than Aug.

Ordered mine in September and took delivery in November and MY21 incentives were already out when I ordered the car and stayed the same from September to November...
