The dealer will not install it, it should be installed by BMW AG Group in either Bremerhaven port or Zeebrugge port, before being shipped to the dealer..

me too, mine has stuck in QC for maybe 2 weeks. I am not sure what is my production. I only know on May 6th, car was in 150. By May 11 or 12, it became QC. Still QC today

I called Genius today and it was essentially a "no update" update. I asked about Week 19 in general, but somewhat as expected, the agent said she couldn't/wouldn't confirm anything.

Not sure what build week I was but production finished on 5/2 per the vin. 2022 M50.
2/19 placed order
4/11 allocation filled
4/22 production started (I think)
5/3 arrived at the processing center
5/16 finally dispatched from factory. Took two weeks waiting for carrier assignment.
5/18 Arrived at dealership in DFW
5/19 Vehicle delivered.
Only deletions were idrive controller touch functionality and the lower tailgate isn't power. Not mad about it.

Sorry to the wk 19 folks. Adding as another reference point -45e build completed today and went through quality check without any issues. Now just waiting for the carrier to pick it up.

Spoke with Genius earlier and she said that there was a delete but it was added back and after some digging she thinks its the passenger lumbar that got added back.

My production start date is May 11th, I guess it means it went to status 150 on that day, making it WW19 production. Status 155 today.

I wonder since we're approaching week 22, if we will have have the automatic tailgate added to our build. From what I've read that they are going to start back offering the automatic tailgate feature starting week 22.

Pasting here my delayed Week 19 update from the main order thread:

"So, I may have some news for those with a week 19 build like me still stuck in QC awaiting parts..

BMW Genius could not tell me anything but my CA has been pushing our delay “up the chain” and just got back to me:

BMW says the backordered part is the main infotainment touchscreen. We won’t know until next Monday (figure Tuesday because US holiday) whether they will get the part in and finish the build or if not, whether they delay longer or just send it out with a touchscreen delete. And if so whether the touchscreen can be retrofit later or not.

Take this with a grain of salt since this info is specific to my m50i - but since the missing part is something across all the models I wouldn’t be surprised if its the same situation for other week 19 builds still sitting two weeks later"

My original allocation per Dealer was mid-June but got pulled into week 19. Now the car is in QC.

I did get the # of the spartan plant, but security answers at 4pm. I'll try calling tomorrow.

Confirmed with my dealer it is the touchscreens they are waiting for. They do not have any available and have no ETA. So, could be a day, could be a month. Sucks.

I would think all builds after week 19 would be affected, though.

My product date is 05/13. Confirmed with CA today, He said no issues with the vehicle. I still have the touch screen. Just waiting on the vehicle to arrive. Looks like assembly was finished. Just waiting to be shipped over.

I believe we have had later builds delivered already and all is fine. It seems to only have effected week 19 builds.

I think your CA either don't know what he/she is talking about or they just lied to you. A few folks here has seemingly confirmed that there's a touchscreen issue with the infotainment screen. I really hate that we came this close and our luck we get stuck in QC. So frustrating.

This sucks. I have a week 24 45e build on the way with every option. I'm not sure I want it without the touchscreen.

Week 19 cars have touchscreen. They just don't have one to install it.
