anyway, still QC
Again, the “prodDate” on F12 is date of last status change. Mine is shown 5-28 now. Previous was shown 5-11 ( date of enter QC ). It is not necessary the production week.

When it switches to the Production Begins status it is the expected date of production.

F12 shows you the production date not the production week.

Thanks, hopefully mine gets through this week. Let's us know what you think of the 45e after you pick it up. Congrats!

Production begin is 150, right?

When checked my for the first time, thank you for your instructions. 😀. It already show 5/11, which is QC. I actually never know when it changed to 150. I don’t think F12 show that.

From what I can see F12 show the date is last status change. It showed 5-11 for me when it entered QC. Now it show 5-28 when it became Dispatch from factory. If Turbleboy is right, which he usually is, these are not production date at all.

Production Begins is 150. Until that time the Prod Date data item is blank. Once that occurs then it is filled in with the date of production. Prior to your posts I have not heard of that data changing after production has been completed and have not checked into it so can't comment on further changes to the Prod Date data item.

Edit: Why don't you PM me your VIN and I will take a look at it or even easier, just post a screenshot of the data.

Perfect, thanks. See if I'm recapping the prodDate correctly:

1. Prior to the Production Begins status it is blank

2. At Production Begins it contains the date the vehicle will be produced.

3. After assembly is completed it contains the date the status of the vehicle last changed.

I missed #1 entirely, so didn't witness. And from 150, I think the prodDate is just #3 from what I can see - date of last status change.

Between 150(Production start) and 155 (QC), I can see these steps in myGarage:
  • exterior body assembly (151?)
  • In paint booth (152?)
  • Entering assembly line (153?)
  • Assembly in progress (154?)

I think prodDate change at each of these step across a couple of days

Assembly takes less than a day so many times it would be the same date on the steps.

Timeline has been like this:

Feb 16 - Initial order submit to CA. waiting for allocation
(didn't make Feb, march, or april allocation)
April 19 - got May allocation, CA confirmed build spec
(I didn't ask for VIN until May 6)
May 6 - Got vin from CA, status already = 150 (Production Started)
May 11 - status = 155 (QC)
May 28 (morning) - status = 182 (Awaiting carrier assignment)
May 28 (afternoon) - status = 190 (Dispatched from factory)
[No more update from my Garage]

[Phone genius]
May 31 - car is on train to west coast. ETA to arrive Richmond hub on June 13th

I wonder how much long now.
Also ask about production week and how it is defined. I was told mine is week 19. The definition is the week the car is target to finish production, not start. In my case, the target is week 19, which matches car entered QC on May 11th.

It is the same week except for a small number of vehicles that would be started before the weekend break and not finished until the next week. Keep in mind that the Production Begins status does not mean that assembly has started, it means that a VIN has been assigned and the parts ordered/allocated.

That timing matches up to my current build. I was told week 22. This morning it was status 150. When I saw this post I checked again and sure enough it's 153 now.

Like everyone else I'm crossing my fingers for no surprise deletions and that it doesn't sit for a few weeks before getting on a truck for the 2 hour drive to my dealership.

You are not alone. Mine too. 5/11. CA is always optimistic and ensure me it's coming soon. I am pessimistic in general. I don't think I'll get it before my trip abroad coming this month.
