Maybe its too soon... I haven't seen anywhere that the 2024 X5 50e qualifies for any tax credit? Only the 2023s... Is this true?

It is not expected to qualify for the tax credit due to the battery requirements. The 45e will qualify, MSRP and income limits aside, if delivery is taken prior to the issuance of the battery guidance which should happen at the end of March.

Have those of you that placed an order gotten any kind of order number or confirmation back or did your dealer just take a deposit?

Garage List
2024 G05 50e  [9.50]
Here’s my build. Thinking about dialing it back to Premium with no Climate Comfort as 88K is a bit rich. Also, I was told 4LM - Fineline Black Wood Trim is not available on the 50e. Am I reading the order guide wrong?

I assume they tried to enter it for your build and it could be that it is another mistake in the pricing guide or perhaps a temporary production constraint.

I suggest keeping the build as is. Once you have it and are enjoying it you will not think about the extra few $k at all.

Personally, I went Premium pack instead of Executive. And I didn’t do the Anthracite headliner, mostly because I didn’t know what it is so figured I wouldn’t miss it. I added the trailer hitch. I prefer the climate package because people in back like their own controls and I wanted the ventilated seats for summer (100 degrees here). I think I came in a little under $86, but you have a wheel upgrade too. And dealer is giving me a whopping 1.5% off!

To all those here that have placed orders. Would you mind circling back when your order is accepted by BMW and you have an order number? Wondering how long that takes? And if you see a preliminary build week?

And….the pricing guide says NC for your black fineline. I did open pore wood which has the same NC listed and it is on my build sheet. I assumed NC is no charge and there are no caveats listed…like “must by X to get it”

Allocations haven’t been issued yet in the US, should be within a few weeks. At that time you can get a production number and production week.

Ok thanks….I was under the impression they had to have an allocation to enter into the order bank. But that doesn’t come from any knowledge base at all….all in my head! I know I’ve been promised the first slot at my dealer (have i4 on order too), so waiting to see what the delivery date might look like. It might beat the i4…LOL. Anyone know the expected delivery time from start of build (to west coast)? I was thinking it might be 30 days?

Just to be clear before I call my dealer, are you saying that dealers can place orders with the factory to get in line now?

No, they aren't getting in line with the factory. Allocations have not been issued yet so they can just enter orders into the order bank. Consider that a waiting list for each dealer. When allocations are issued then those on those in the order bank will receive an allocation, if available, in the order they were entered into the order bank. For example, lets say the dealer has 7 people in the order bank for the 50e and they receive 3 allocations. The first three that were entered into the order bank would receive an allocation and that order would be scheduled with the factory. If the next month they receive two allocations then the next two people would have their orders in.

hi Turtleboy, I'm here again! i decided to cancel the order for the 30d i had ordered in january to wait for lci. my salesman, who I have the utmost confidence in, told me that he has an allocation for the first week of May and that he has two available in April for x6 lci. Is it possible that the allocations have already been given for Italy? second question, in your opinion, how long does it take from production to delivery in Europe/Italy? Thank you jack

Yes, I would imagine that is the case as they have been given out in other European countries. I would just be guessing but would say about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery from what I have seen posted.

Are there any deletions? I keep reading active integral steering. Not sure my x5 45e 2022 even has it.

The US 45e's do not have IAS. We have heard from Belgium that there is currently a production constraint on it.

Do you know if the allocations are out for Canada?
Do they get allocations every month, or 3-6month intervals?

As far as I know they have not been issued and believe they are done monthly.
