The Breguet and the Lange. My god the movements in the 7077, that's what we had just discussed earlier.

That Lange looks perfect for 41.9mm, looks larger in the photographs. Must be relative to the band width.

Is that like, a stainless crackle finish on it, the second variant with the black croc band? I love that. Fuck.

White gold with navy/black combos are money. That Breguet. SMFH.

Platinum case on the Vacheron, looks slightly less lustrous than the white gold. Almost reminds me of a stainless variant (don't kill me). I had to verify the case compound.

But that circular grain line beveling.

Super hard to photograph... check this out and zoom in on the picture.

Sandblasted dial
Hour and minute hands are gloss finished on one half and matte on the other half... so many details you just don't see.

Here is another platinum watch where you can see the effect of the light on the hands (this one has a different dial and stuff.)
*maybe we should take this to the watch forum...

Oh - hehe... yeah... so, I don't know much about that. it looks like some sort of anodizing technique. I need to learn up on the Langes. I have a knowledge gap there.

I can just make out the crackle. It blends incredibly. But it definitely holds the light more harshly, in a good way, if you get what I mean. White gold has always had more of a black mirror warmth to it, when maintained, etc.

As with most things, there is actually more to it. They actually had to invert the way the watch was made. Usually, those things that you see are behind the top plate and facing the other way. In this case, they literally built the movement backwards to get this look. Breguet invented the chronograph, so... they can do whatever they want. hehe... Also, it is called chronograph because the hand didn't use to stop. It was more of a clock and a piece of paper was fitted beneath it and when you pressed the pusher, it would make a mark on the paper... chrono- (time) -graphy (writing). This was 1822. In 1820 he made a pocket watch with 2 hands to measure elapsed time... that was really the true forerunner to a chronograph.
