I am still waiting for the OTA update. And I have an appointment for 11/23 to put on my winter wheels and update my software to 11/2020. Anyone has 11/2020 installed by the dealer? I hope it will be available.

I'm also still waiting.
Mine goes in on monday for my winter wheels en some paint chip repair.
Maybe I'll just ask them to update to the last version because AA will be a real added value for me.

Also didn't have the update yet. Maybe because I have my android phone activated to unlock the car. (Nfc not. With connected app) I think I did read it wasn't compatible anymore.

I don't have that in my case so don't think that has got anything to do with it.

The upgrade doesn't seem to get initiated from the CD app. I've been checking since some of the US folks here said they already got it.

Today, I checked again with the CD app and got nothing. My car has been parked for more than a week but today had to go out and the upgrade notice finally popped up. I let it download in the car this time instead of via the CD app. Upgrade was completed but again there's no confirmation in iDrive that it was. After waiting for a while I finally opened the door, alarm triggered and iDrive booted on a new version.

Just like others I got .54 (from .25).

I'm on 03/2020.54 [2019 X5 (G05)], and not finding any updates when I try to check for Remote Software Updates either on Vehicle Settings or on Connected App in Philly, USA.

Is there a way for me to do a force check to get the latest updates? I see that most of you folks are already on 07/2020.

There is no way to force it. BMW uses some, so far unknown, algorithm to determine what vehicles get the OTA.

My x7 that was already on a July update, just got the ota for this today

My 3 series that is still on an older version did not yet get it

They are both parked in the same driveway, so I guess it's location based

Could it be that higher end models get the update first, or cars that are driven more?

Finally got the prompt on the mobile Connected app for the upgrade! Despite multiple tries, I cant get the wifi connection between phone and car and just have to do the update through the vehicle's data.

Another thing I noticed after the upgrade. The auto camera selection works on my car now. I had even coded the "fix" in Esys, but it never worked for me. Ya know reverse camera switching to front camera as you go from reverse to drive. After the update this is now working. (Also note all my coding was wiped out as expected after the update, except for anti-dazzle, that is still working... but I am pretty sure I remember writing back after FA removal of 5AP).

I am in Los Angeles, CA. 2020 X5 40i with 03/2020.69

I keep checking for a new update using the Remote Software Upgrade screen in the X5 but after about 1 minute of searching, I get the message that no update is available. I use the Weather and News apps to make sure there is a connection to the internet but no luck on the software update.

I check the phone app as well. The phone app doesn't really seem to be checking anything.

Perhaps one needs to be on a 07/xxxx.xx version in order to get the OTA upgrade.

Whoooahh! That IS the major feature! Can we have a second+ confirmation from anyone else in US or Canada, please.

I can confirm there is no change in behavior in regards to the camera views. When switching from reverse to drive the rear camera image is still displayed for me.

I also tested it by turning on the auto camera switching, it worked that one time but after a restart the auto was off.

Thanks for the let down :-). While I would have a major physically-distanced party if this was (ever) fixed, I wasn't really expecting it (I am an idealistic realist, neither an optimist nor a pessimist), so I'll live for now.

So, RayoVac, we have to try to figure out why yours is fixed. Best guess right now is that your previous coding finally "took" after the update. Considering that we don't know why for those that the coding fix worked that it delayed 7+ days for it to take back then, this is not a completely far fetched possibility. But we still don't know what makes it "take" ...

We need details. Did it work on previous version and what was that version? What version are you on now that it's working? Are you sure you mean the specific problem we're discussing, where in US, Canada and a few other countries the camera does not automatically switch to front camera and remains on rear camera when you specifically move transmission from R to D?
