Tinting windshield

I'm thinking of placing a light ceramic tint on windshield (80%) really just for heat rejection for my soon to be x5 45e.

I've heard that some installers won't do windshields due to the electronics around the area, and dont want to be liable if it gets fried during the install process.

Anyone have any bad experiences when getting windshield tinted? Should I just not take the gamble?

Any decent shop worth it - is expertise in tint, would not hesitate on the install.
They should be putting a soak rope down where the glass meet the dash as well as covering the entire dash to prevent upholstery damage as well

Had my windshield tinted without any issues or concerns, but they didn't want to do the pano because of the lights. Even though they would put the proper stuff around to soak up the water, it's still a lot of water that has to be evacuated somewhere, and didn't want to take the chance of ruining the lights.

There are some people I've seen with ruined dashboard / doors from this, but only Porsche cayennes I know about ... the soap/tint solution seems to eat away at the padding below somehow.

Here's an example:
