Question Apps not working since update

So I had the July update done at the main dealers and now non of the installed apps work.
BMW messages, BMW assistant is greyed out. Click the apps, a red box appears around them, but the don’t activate.
Also car care, and experience are also greyed out?
Tired the update apps function which didn’t work.

Anyone have any experience with this at all?

I suggest two things, first try to reboot your idrive by holding in the volume button for about 30 seconds, 2- log out of your connected drive account and log back in, nothing to lose by trying those before a service visit.

Have tried the reset which didn't work. Regarding logging out of the connected drive are you referring to the online account via web browser or in the car? As the in car option isn't available due to no app access if that makes sense. Thanks for the reply by the way

Log off the car connected drive account. To do this, push on the small connected drive account picture on the top right of the screen. It should take you to the accounts that are logged in to the vehicle. select settings and log off current account. Then log back in.

I had the same issue when my vehicle was upgraded to 7/2020.48

I ended up deleting the account then re enabled it. Still nothing working on the apps. Didn't see an option to log off only remove account?

Looks like this is the issue you're having. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...79010-9999.pdf. Although this SIB says it should have been resolved by updating to the July iStep version.

Hey Mitch - where on the site do you go to look up the SIBs? I can find the recalls but not the SIBs, thanks!

Here you go. https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2020/B...Communications.

It's the same for the entire Xline of vehicles. New items get added about every month or so from my experience.
