Anyone able to get BMW Digital Key to work with the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 pro?

It's always "just around the corner". The Pixel 8/Pro are half way through their primary lifecycle. In 6 months the Pixel 9 will launch. It's unlikely they'll roll out niche features like this with the P9 getting closer and closer. We need a fix in the next few weeks or they've completely missed the boat.

This is the main reason I haven't upgraded from my P6 and may switch to Samsung which seems better supported.

Hello,
I just want to share google has just updated the wiki that Pixel 8 is supported.
To get it to work you would need to update Google Play System Update.
Settings -> Security & Privacy -> System Updates -> Google Play System Update

On Jan play system update and still does not work despite support page being updated.

EDIT: Also got a wallet update but still didn’t work.

It worked for me then a google wallet update showed up when I was gonna screenshot the version and now my key is gone and I'm getting the same error of "can't pair" when I'm trying to re-add it

After performing the latest updates, I was hoping but no such luck. As others mentioned, at least the google support page now shows it as supported which seems like progress.

If you look at the description for the Google wallet update it says:

"+ [US Only] Unlock the world around you with a digital wallet that carries your drivers license and digital car keys"

So looks like it's only for the US at the moment.
