AR, My bet a NDA was signed or this multiple X5 owner has enough common sense not to burn bridges with his selling dealer nor BMW NA.

Edit: I can guarantee a NDA was signed with NA's involvement.
he can say he signed one and I'd definitely understand. I've had to sign one before on another vehicle which I can't mention for obvious reasons. my selling dealer and I have a good relationship the only is is they're in Maryland. I never said anything to BMW NA in poor taste, so when they stopped communicating I was genuinely surprised which is a shame.

I had a 750 during the time my M50i was being built.
Lol ok you have peaked my curiosity. Why not the X3?

Thanks for the tip mate. I'll ask them what they have available from now on.

I actually enjoy getting random loaners but lets just say now I KNOW i don't want to buy an X1 or 130 lol.

Wow really nice man. I'de tell them to take their time if I had that loaner.
Honestly, it's just a joke now. But, it was the first loaner I ever got with my F15 and I seriously hated that thing. Upon return, when they asked how it was, I laughed and said never again.

Did you start the conversation with your dealer first or BMW directly?

Thanks for the feedback mate. I was actually cross shopping between a X3M or a X5 M50I or the eventual X5M. Made a thread about it.

I guess the general consensus is the X3 interior is a little too down market in comparison to the X5.

General consensus in the G05 forum

The exterior design of the G01/02 is vastly improved over the older models but needs to get on par to the interior quality and features of the F15 for the price that they're charging for it these days - eg seat comfort is just unforgivable.

Is the roof rail delete an option on the 2020MY?

I think it was a factory issue not an intentional one

My reference was when I had the F15 and a similar year X3 as a loaner.

I would ask for the SM at the selling dealership and ask him to review your service history to see if they can help with a trade assist.

The main issue is they are located in MD, I bought the car out of state (I live in TX) although I might give that a try when I get my car back.

I want to hear more about the suspension.

So - you had x5 M sport 50 with adaptive suspension and 22 non run flats.

Upgraded to M50 with adaptive and 22 non run flats

So it is apples to apples comparison.
Would you say - spring rates have changed? damping?
comfort mode in my x5 50 M sport could be floaty and sport plus is not very stiff but noticeably firmer. I would like the new M performance tuning if that's the case.

How about this new Engine. - Torque low and upper end should be noticeable based on 850 driving. Engine had a bunch of upgrades - so it is a worthwhile upgrade just for the engine alone.

In other words - they upgraded the car everywhere it matters - I would be super excited.

What is your impression and level of excitement?

That is correct.
50i to M50i

Suspension
Comfort is more firm and compliant than the 50i, it is definitely not as bouncy. It only gets better as you move through the modes. On my last G05, I wondered if I made a mistake by not selecting DHP or Air. Not this time around. This is the driving dynamic that almost reminds me of my F15. This is the true progression from the F15, to me anyway.

Engine
I know it does not seem like a huge jump, but damn she freaking hustles. Seriously, it's all there. You wanna go, then damnit you are gone.

Things I got but missed the first go round:

B&W Audio - Was not available when I originally ordered and there was never one available at the dealership so I did not realize what i was missing out on.

Extended Merino - I really liked the Vernasca leather with luxury seating on the last G05, but the Merino is much softer on the upper back.
This option isn't a super must have for me and I would ultimately be happy with either.

Extended Shadowline - Was not available before, but it looks badass against the Carbon Black. (I'm still bummed Black Sapphire was not available)

Alcantara Headliner - Even the shade is alcantara.

Pano SkyLounge - This thing just blows peoples mind when it is lit at night. Especially when caring car is enabled and it fades in and out.

Drive Recorder - This probably deserves it's own post along with the new display features in the cluster.

I will hopefully have a little time this weekend to take a few more pictures and maybe a short review.

Black wheels available on the X5 M50i but not the X7.
Cerium Gray accent 755M wheels on the M50i but black accent 755M wheels only on 40i.

Odd differences.

Really interested in hearing about the new instrument cluster options. That is the one area where BMW has dropped the ball with the G05.

Congratulations, she is beautiful! This will probably be my next purchase. I don't know if I'm ready to give up the M550i yet though.
