Oh, wait....sorry. It's because Democrats. I forgot homelessness boils down to one easy point that happens to make you feel good for your team.
My team? What team is that?

The point is that there are many contributing factors to an issue like homelessness. It doesn't all boil down to a political party.
Yes, I know the mayor's affiliations. I know the governor's too. A month ago in Austin...we'll take you to a shelter but you can't stay here...street sweeps and cleanup crews right behind them. Done.

I've avoided responding to this sort of clickbait coz it usually just provokes arguments that can't be won but I decided to look up the definition of LIBERAL and pretty much think that Anglo actually is a liberal-he just hasn't a clue of what a LIBERAL is!!!!

Here's what Wikipedia has to say:

Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on liberty, and consent of the governed and equality before the law. Liberals support limited government, individual rights, civil rights, human rights, capitalism (free markets) democracy, secularism, gender equity, racial equality, internationalism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion.

Anglo; if you don't believe in some of these, feel free to explain, but you probably are a fucking liberal; you just don't know it.

Pretty much none of those apply to the current crop of democrats claiming to be liberals.

Not going to argue point by point with you. I will say that today's democratic party, in the US, particularly the far left such as the so called progressive socialists, are the most anti-freedom group seen in the US in a long time, and they certainly aren't in support of limited government.

The current crop of Dumb-ocrat candidates are jockeying for position as the person who will redistribute the most wealth to the tens of millions of people who they have identified as having been fucked-over by straight white men.

They dream of getting the votes of all those people. Even the ones who aren't citizens and aren't supposed to vote.

And if there's any straight white guy money left over, they'll give it to the UN.

By the above, we should just change the thread title to ďIím a liberal, how come the so-called liberals arenít?Ē

And I donít think you can argue with a straight face that either party believes in limited government and individual rights judging by our current crop of representatives.

Just have to look at today's college campuses to see this in action. Weren't 1st amendment rights a juggernaut back in the day?

1/2 true. Waren and Sanders are for democratic socialism. Biden, Buttigieg, Bloomberg, & Klobushar are not.

But Trump & the alt-right media claims they all are. I hate seeing lies like that.

I never gave a shit about politics and payed it zero attention. I recall clearly in 1999-2000 starting to read up on things because I (later realized, I subconsciously) wanted to talk my then girlfriend out of moving to Tel Aviv. I honestly went into my research trying to confirm Israel was the bad actor and all the usual leftist crap about the country. I learned pretty quickly western media was being highly unfair to Israel.

The other milestone of my political ignorance was I recall having a different girlfriend in early 2002 that went to Columbia University. As you can imagine she was a raging liberal, but her dad was a staunch conservative. Once she said "he listens to Rush Limbaugh" and I had no idea what that meant. Funny that years later I became a big Rush Limbaugh fan.

I became politically knowledgeable when we went to war in Afghanistan and Iraq. After watching the Democrats and legacy media organizations do everything possible to sabotage our efforts there; my anti-Democrat/Left bias became calcified. Mark my words... I'll NEVER forgive them for that... never mind what they've done since!

I donít have a problem with that definition and feel itís accurate. Unfortunately, I feel what many people are doing is being mislabeled as liberalism and is more akin to extremism. And that goes both ways, left and right. For example, Antifa is referred to as liberal, but are really socialist fascists. On the other end you have white nationalism, which again is not conservatism but plain old racism.

The coldest that I have ever been in my life was in Daytona Beach, Florida for spring break, back when MTV still played music and Daytona was the happening spring break place. Keep in mind, I was a Buffalo Bills ticket holder and rode my motorcycle year-round at the time, and was shivering at 29F in Florida to the point where I packed up and left two days early. I had my winter motorcycle gear with me, and even that wasn't enough to keep me warm.....

I really donít like riding in anything under 40F. Itís easy not to consider the windchill you create once you start moving. So if itís 40F and youíre riding 60mph....isnít that like -20F with a windchill?

A year's worth of motorcycle insurance for someone under age 25 at the time was about a week's salary at $3.35/hour minimum wage. Car insurance in the under-25 assigned risk pool at the time was two day's salary every single week. A full touring-style fairing with lowers, knobby tires, and a snowmobile suit/gloves are a bargain compared with car insurance costs for college-aged kids.....
