This is more or less where I'm at as of now. He could be doing much better in many areas, but he's not grenading the country. When the OP only provides two polarizing responses, there isn't much room for nuance I suppose.

Pretty much where I am at. Just looking at the job performance and not his tweets or other personal behaviors I say it is a wash.

Likely the same we would have from any of the other Republican candidates in 2016.

Which is, sadly, exactly where our government currently is. You're with us, or you're against us. No shades of gray. No nuance. No common ground.

You sir, win The Internet today. Congratulations.
It's rather obvious and has been that way for quite a while at one level but it has reached it's zenith with no signs of the thrusters slowing the ship down.

It certainly seems worse than I can ever remembering it being. Not sure if I'm just being a "prisoner of the moment" or not, but it feels like it's worse.

No...this is a bad as it has ever been. I don't think we are victims of recency bias. This is a total shit show and a complete breakdown of our democracy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the lack of empathy in our national political scene is not going to end well.

It certainly seems to be at a very heightened level over the past several years.

Populism, or "Nationalism" seems to me at least the break down of our democratic institutions which are partially replaced by a charismatic political figure with a political base of cult-like worshipers. We are in a very bad spot here.

I agree with all of you regarding the water temperature in DC but it has really boiled over and this is concerning, very concerning. Not rolling war by any means but I sure sense trouble on the horizon if it keeps up. I've seen more protests the last three years than I had previously my entire adult life.

I'm not going to pin it all on the media but MY GOD. You can't watch news anymore, it's actors and sewage Olympics. Rile em up!!!

I'll say this:
If any other Republican would have won it would not be like this. Those folks, minus Carly, were politicians. They would have pretty much gotten in line with the establishment and moved along. Trump was not and never will be in that club. Personally, I'd rather chew aluminum than belong with THEM.

Peace.

You're a communist, socialist, human scum, MS 13 loving Lib, or you're with us.

I don't see as much of that on the Democratic side. Litmus tests on both sides to be sure, but much more black-and-white on the Trump side. Reaganism seems dead

Ask yourself this:

If Trump had applied to be the CEO of a well-known major publicly-traded company with significant US and global exposure, would his resume have been considered at all given his known past with his own companies, multiple bankruptcies, lawsuits, a documented history short-paying contractors, well known history with women, etc.? Would you want him leading your company if you were on the board, an employee, or shareholder?

No; It is pretty much certain he would not even earn an interview.

Agreed. Antifascist should be a default state, but destroying stuff and harassing people that are not in the actual fascist category is wrong. Most are just angry kids looking to be violent and would get behind any cause that would take them. Same shit heads that join ISIS. Young, dumb, full of bad ideas.

Maybe we should get 2 Presidents instead of one, having to choose between the left vs the right, the direction the country takes is polarizing. (Sarcasm)

Just a poll
