Clinking noises from wheel?

My 40i suddenly gets a weird ‘clincking’ noises from one of her wheels (happened in the middle of a normal driving’. It is like dragging a piece of metal sheet on highway. Anyone knows what it is about? Should I set an appointment with the dealer?

I do have a video clip but don’t know how to upload to the forum. Thanks.

Easy.......Stone in your caliper. Go in reverse fast and jam the brakes.

Just pull the wheel/tire and inspect, you'll find the cause. I think MystroX5 is correct or somehow your dust shield is bent (unlikely). Its a very simple issue, don't take it to the dealer.

Well, I don’t have the proper tool to unmount the wheel. Can I still drive the car to a nearby garage, or it’s better to have it towed? Thanks.

Yes, just drive it, I really don't believe you have a serious issue from watching the video.

Yea, there is a stone in there dragging on something. This happens to my wife’s Audi all the time this time of year with cinders on the roads. It’s frightening the first time you hear this raw metal sound from your wheel.
